This book is well written and has a lot of contributors and editors who are very experienced in the professional academic advising world. It is good to check out the NACADA website and also become a member for more useful resources and case studies. worth the cost!

Tons of relevant information. The case studies are helpful in understanding what an advisor's day could look like and the ethical, academic, and administrative dilemmas they face. As an advisor for over five years myself, I wish I had this book when I started.

NACDA has packed this book with all the useful research and insights into the important role of Academic Advising in Higher Ed. A must read for, not only those new to the field but seasoned professionals as well.

This is a pretty standard book. I needed it for a class. It meets all of the typical book expectations, including having a cover and pages with words on them. If you purchase this item expecting to receive a book, you will not be disappointed.
