MLB The Show 20 for PS4 - PS4 Exclusive - ESRB Rated E (Everyone) - Max Number of Multi-Players: 8 - Sports Game - Releases 3/17/2020

As a UK-based baseball fan, I really enjoy this game and was happy to snag it at a decent price - not like the usual £50+ when it first launches. Decent controls and I love the variety of cut-scenes, commentary, different types of plays, the teams, players and stadiums, and the fact that if I create my own player, the commentators say my name properly! Looking forward to the next installment.

Over the last few months this has become my baseball game of choice (I had been playing MLB 2k11 on the PC). It is chock-full of options. There are different types of control for batting, pitching, fielding etc.; and many different views. There are five defined difficulty levels, but almost every individual gameplay aspect is modifiable, so if one wanted to create a juiced-ball or dead-ball era experience, you can do that. There are lots of different game modes and game options, both for offline and online play. As well as full games, there are lots of mini-games, or even single 'moments' to play on. The main 'gamification' mechanic used is through a reward-system based largely upon baseball cards, which act not just as unlockable players, but also unlockable commentary, bats, grounds, icons and whatever. The player database can be updated dynamically, so you can play with a team as rated at the beginning of the 2020 season or at its end. It also contains lots of 'legends' cards, so you can have Babe Ruth or Ozzie Smith on your team too, if you want. You can create players too. The only options that I have used in other games which I think are missing are the option to create a multi-player offline league (I do this in MLB2k11 to play a team in each division through the year) and to create additional expansion franchises. I would like the option to play more offline meaningful league games in the 'Diamond Dynasty' mode (i.e. the collectable part) too.The graphics and the commentary are pretty good too, although as in every baseball video game, they can eventually become a bit repetitive.Highly recommended to baseball video game fans of all abilities.

The best baseball game on PS4. The graphics are the best I've ever seen on a sports game. Fantastic fun to play.

If you're a baseball fan, you will enjoy this PS4 game. I always recommend buying the discs instead of purchasing through the Playstation store because then you will always own it. Games purchased online are trapped in your account. :-(

Don’t have the love I used to have for baseball back in mid 90s on my teens. Too easy to play. Makes no sense, too slow. I give a 5 because it does looked better and real but too slow. No action.
