Works great - set up takes a bit
I have been hunting for an easy and affordable medic alert. We considered the Apple Watch, but he hardly manages the iPhone so that was out of the question. This Lively alert is a piece of cake for him to use, he can wear it around his neck and get fall detection - or clip in on his belt- no fall detection. He likes to slip it in his pants pocket. We also like that he can press a button and get 24/7 response. And we get texts when he is out and about, or back home, I can even check his GPS location and know he made it to his Dr appt. The only negative was setting it up- I had to call 3 times for help. When you get the device you have to register it, then sign in, and send invites to those who want text notifications. The company is very responsive and helpful and it is working great now. I can even see when his battery is low and call to remind him to charge his device. All in all- this is a potential life saver!

Works exactly the way it is suppose to.
I ordered this Lively device for a friend. When it stopped working prematurely, they gladly sent a replacement n/c.

Best medical alert device.
The Lively Mobile Plus is my third 5 Star medical alert device and the best one yet. The lanyard makes it easy to wear, so that I always have it with me. It is easy to charge, so I know I can depend on it for help when I need it. Someone is always on hand to answer my questions or get help to me if I need it. It has fall detection, and it can be linked to a loved one's cell phone. All I have to do is press the call button in any emergency.

Solved! Really hard to trust this thing.
What a ride. First unit worked right away but wouldn't charge unless it was pushed towards the contacts every time. That isn't something I'd want an elderly parent to have to do. Customer service was helpful, they'll send a replacement. 2nd unit arrived quickly in a bubble pack, but without a charger...grr. This device just wouldn't set up on their network. After a call and many attempts, it was determined to be defective device. Requested another device be sent over night. 3rd device was sent 2nd day air but it fell victim to bad weather & Christmas UPS delays. It arrived 5 days later with a charger, but this one also failed to set up! Another call to customer service got it to set up but...the location showed the device at an address in Virginia which was 574 miles away from the actual location in Michigan. I'm not even sure how that's possible? The solution so far is to restore the first device back into service, and use the 3rd charger which works without intervention. The GPS location was within 50 feet of the actual location. We'll test it extensively over the next few days before handing it off to our parents. *Update 12/30/22. Visited the parents to drop off the new device. It was well received and worked well on a practice call. I attempted to demo the fall-detect feature and it completely failed that test :( After 30 minutes with tech support and several reset attempts, they decided it needs to be escalated. I'm awaiting that call... *Update 12/31/22. Call back was productive. They reset the device just to make sure the software was okay. Found there is no official procedure to test the fall detect and was strongly advised not to fake a fall for safety. It's just pure faith the software and hardware will work. We decided to take the risk of staging a fall with the device around the neck. The device did work as advertised and placed a call after 20 seconds. Our previous test was to toss the device to the carpet. As explained to us the device detected a drop and not a fall, and shouldn't trigger, to prevent constant false alarms. We tried the same toss test as before to see if the latest reset changed anything. The toss didn't register as a fall, same as before. Another fake fall wearing the device got it to place another call. I feel pretty confident handing this one off to our elder parents. I've bumped my rating to 4 stars. I would have given 5 but it took so much time & effort to get a workable solution. I'd certainly give the support team 5 stars. Ever person was US based and very willing to spend the time to make it right.

Will not connect to service because it is not zoned for my location.
This is our 3rd one they only last one year. The battery goes out. You can not get a new battery. I have also had to buy a new charger they are very cheap and easily wear out. This one came in and we can not get it to connect to GreatCallLink. They want me to ship it back to Best Buy and order one from them. Theirs cause more . I bought the first one from Best Buy it worked good for a year . I had Great Call Link ship me another one at a higher price had trouble getting it to work and honestly I knew it was a not new because it looked like it was parts put in a box and shipped. Not like the one purchased from Best Buy. That one died they change you even when it is not working. I ordered one from here. Spent 2 hours trying to get it set up and I need to return it with a report to Best Buy that the devise is not zoned for my area. The first one we traveled to Tennessee with and it worked. So I don’t understand the zoning thing. But I am still paying for a service that the devise is not connecting to. I even was asked to go stand outside in the cold and try it. I would not recommend Great CallLink to any one. Are the lively mobile device.

Works great
Great piece of mind for keeping tabs on elderly. Total coverage (fall detection, nurse/doctor calls, gps) runs about $50 month. Download the app and get notifications if the person presses the button, if they fall and if they leave their location as well as current location. Even texts you when the user has to charge the battery! Money well spent.
