Dow Corning 795 Silicone Building Sealant is a one-part, cold-applied, non-sagging silicone material that cures to a medium modulus silicone rubber upon exposure to atmospheric moisture. Dow Corning 795 Building Sealant is a one-part, medium modulus, neutral cure silicone formulation. Dow Corning 795 Silicone Sealant cures to a durable and flexible silicone rubber building joint seal, and can accommodate plus or minus 50 percent joint movement in a properly designed joint. Basic uses include structural and nonstructural glazing of glass, metal and plastic; adhering stiffeners to building panels; weatherproofing applications, including perimeter sealing of doors and windows. Dow Corning 795 Silicone Building Sealant is virtually unaffected by sunlight, rain, sleet, snow, ultraviolet radiation, atmospheric contamination, ozone and temperature extremes. Joint performance does not change significantly with aging or exposure to weather. Better than Sika.
This product is recommended by waterproofing companies everywhere. I am working a large project where sika is supplying the waterproofing materials. I a construction meeting. I made all the contractors aware I would be using this product. All agreed it was an awesome product. All agreed but, one. The Sika rep. At the end I was asked to use a Sika product instead of Dow Corning 795, a product I've been using for years. Draw your own conclusions. Dow Corning 795 is the best, in my opinion and according to a room full of contractors.
