The Art of Ghost of Tsushima Hardcover – Illustrated, September 1, 2020

The book comes within a slip case so it remains undamaged, and the open spine makes it really comfortable to hold and look through. There is a lot of gorgeous artwork of characters' different armor and dye variations, and the landscape works are very moody and atmospheric. There's also a lot of storyboarding, menu mockups, and promo pieces. There is a little too much white space around the images, but at least it keeps the format consistent.

If you, or someone you know, is a fan of this game there will be no disappointment in this purchase.I bought 3 different 'Game Art' books for 3 of my nephews this Christmas and this one far surpassed the others in detail and overall unboxing experience. The extra sleeve of the book along with the Japanese style spine binding are just some of the details that set this one apart. You can tell that a lot of the creative passion from the game was translated to this book's aesthetic. This is brand awareness done right!Note: The other 2 books were for 'Apex Legends & Last of Us 2' and they were great as well, but this one stood out and they were essentially all the same price.

It's an amazing book and I love the video game. I wish the book could add a few close up shots and increase the size on some of the artwork so that we can see the detail clearly. I do agree some of the artwork were poorly printed and as a result, they look so dark and muted. I think it's because it was printed on a matt paper, the blacks got so heavy, it hides the details in some of the artwork. All in all, I love it.

I pre ordered this the day they went live, knowing I would not be disappointing. I wasn't. The slipcase that comes with it is sturdy and protects the book well. The book itself is quality and has a great spine that lets you set the book down, and will keep the page open without you needing to hold it, which is a common issue with books. The art itself is gorgeous, sometimes spanning pages. There is commentary and notes from 2 great people from SUcker Punch Productions: Jason Connell and Andrew Goldfarb, providing insight in to the development process of Ghost of Tsushima. Much to my surprise, there is even a whole chapter dedicated to the upcoming co-op expansion to the game, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. I am supremely happy with my purchase.

This was such a wonderful surprise! I cannot believe how beautifully bound this is, and the slipcase feels expensive too! It's a steal at this price point. The images are printed so nicely too, a lot of love went into this.
