MarretooAuto Original Style Cargo Cover for Mazda CX-5 2017 2018 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 with Rebounding plastic Trunk Cover

After installing this nearly a year ago, it has consistently provided error-free operation and effectively provided concealment of items transported in my vehicle. It was much less expensive than a comparable “OEM” device purchased from the auto dealership.Update: I installed this in a 2023 Mazda CX-5. The cover has performed flawlessly in outdoor temperatures between 20 and 100 (much hotter interior) degrees. I regularly open and close the trunk, but have had no need to disconnect the cover.

The tonneau cover was a little hard for me to install - I'm a short woman over 70, but my friend put it in with ease. I love that people can't see what's in the back of my car. It is sturdy & I'm really happy with it's construction.

I have only just installed this cover, but so far it looks great and works perfectly. It was very easy to put in place, both ends are spring loaded which makes it easier. Instead of having a cloth bit to cover the area between the rollout cover and the seat backs, it has two spring-loaded flaps that move out of the way if you recline the seat. It is split 60/40 and lines up exactly with the rear seat backs. This looks much better than the cloth and you don’t have to tie it up.I can’t yet speak to the durability, as I said I just installed it, but the outer casing looks and feels substantial. We’ll have to see how the fabric cover and the springs and internal workings hold up. So far, I am very happy with this purchase, and at almost 1/3 of the price of the OEM piece, it’s quite a bargain!

Overall, I like this cargo cover because of the cost savings, but I was disappointed in the construction for two reasons:1. Within the first week of use, the steel bar that clips onto the trunk fell out of the plastic assembly on the cover. I was able to re-assemble it fairly quickly, but now do not feel great about the longevity of this cover. I may disassemble these plastic housings and reinforce them with an industrial hot melt adhesive, but I shouldn't have to go through this trouble.2. The tension springs that are located at either end of the beam require a lot of force to install, and risk marking the interior of my Mazda. This isn't a problem for me, but is a problem for other people who use my car - now I have to provide special instruction on how to install and remove this cover.I'll see how this holds up over the next few weeks, but am now leaning toward returning this item and getting the genuine Mazda part.**Update:**The small metal bar fell out of the plastic assembly (again) that clips into the trunk before I had a chance to reinforce it with some glue. Downgraded from 3 stars to 1 star and am now returning.

I put this in a 2022 Mazda CX-5 Select. The package came with NO installation instructions, so I was not optimistic. But I opened up the lift gate of the CX-5 and noticed there are bracket right behind the seats that were perfectly sized to receive the ends of the main support of the cargo cover. The ends of the main support are on springs, so you can compress them inward a bit to get them to fit into the brackets. Perfect fit. Then I looked on the lift gate and saw the clip points that receive the semi-circular loops on the cover. They clipped in easily. So even without directions, with no idea how to install it or where it went, it literally took less than a minute to put in place. It covers the cargo area well, and after a month it is still working perfectly.

After reading other reviews, I was a little concerned that this might not fit or stay in place. I also didn't understand how to install it as there were no directions. However, it was pretty obvious where to place and attach it, it took about 7 to 10 minutes to install. I have been using this for well over a month now and it has stayed in place perfectly! I love that it hides what is in my trunk and it also makes the tint of my back windows appear darker. I'm very happy with this purchase!

Bought this for my 2019 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring. Everything but the latch bars seem to be of high quality material. Unfortunately, those latch bars see the most wear in terms of needing to unclip and retract the cover itself. Though I take extra care with all things related to my car, and I had this for about 8 months, the 3rd time I retracted the cover one of the latch bars broke off :( for the price, I’d recommend buying another more durable product.

Against my better judgment, I ordered a similar one a few years ago from eBay and it didn't last a year. This just arrived today and the material is far superior to my previous one and I can see now the difference in the quality between the two. This one is sturdy and hefty, it just snaps into place like a glove and it looks like the real Mazda one. I particularly love the component that fills in the gap between the trunk and the backseats. I have high hopes that this one will last.
