Papo55083 Giganotosaurus THE DINOSAURS Animals Figurine, multicolour

Many other five star reviews have already quite rightly said what a wonderfully sculpted figurine this is. The pose is a little odd at first but it is reasonable to assume that the animal might rear up like this on occasions, either in attack or defence. If so the tail would probably end up on the ground.I had not realised until I bought this figure and did a little research that Giganotosaurus was a member of a dinosaur clade called Allosauridae, which of course also included Allosaurus. With that in mind it is now clear to see some striking similarities in the lithe form and physiology of these two animals. If you’re a collector of dinosaur figurines just buy it. And buy the Allosaurus figure (55078) too. But then again you probably already have.

Realistic and detailed Gigantosaurus. Mouth opens and closes. Very sturdy. Well packaged and would buy again.

I bought this for pest control and it's done a brilliant job of eating any cats that poo on the lawn. Had to warn it off eating the neighbours children though.Negatives: Feeding costs are high unless we have a cat stray by.

This new papo figure is great, just like the others in their Dino range! It's in scale and looms just over the t rex, this is a static figure with a movable jaw.

I hate it when people rate products 1 star and then don't say why. You can see the picture of it, so if you don't like how it looks, don't buy it. Which is why I've given it 5 stars instead of 4 - to counter that review.As regards Giganotosaurs, the stance is rather old fashioned and unrealistic, and some might think a little silly, but otherwise it's a very good model. At least it's a decent size, unlike the Papo Gorgosaurus, on a par with the upright T-Rex. And the quality and paintwork is to the usual high standard. Maybe not one for the aficionado, but the kids will love it.

This is a great looking dinosaur model.. But it's absolutely no where near the look of thee big bad Dino in dominion: the lost world... There are no spines on its neck or back, a real shame as I so want him in model form, check the movie out again before you buy this if your after a souvenir, this is not it.

This is now one of my sons favourite dinosaurs, looks great with a good pose. 👍
