FLASHDANCE - PARAMOUNT PRESENTS Volume 4 [BLU-RAY]

This new Blu-ray reissue of FLASHDANCE has some great packaging, however, it does NOT come close to the original Blu-ray release Paramount did some years back.I love the better packaging and the artwork, hands down. However, this new release could have been much better.They do have a new featurette FILMMAKER FOCUS: Director Adrian Lyne on FLASHDANCE.There are 2 featurettes brought over from the original release, NOT the 5 TOTAL that were on there originally.Theatrical Trailer is also here, NOT the TEASER TRAILER that was also available from the first Blu-ray with the black color. This new version has the blue color on it.The Menu is nicer than the original release and the new interview with Director Adrian Lyne is great. (6 Min)Audio is English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and subtitles are the same as original release.Again, I don't know why Paramount decided to rerelease this without all the material it has on the movie.Just makes it lackluster for content. I am a fan of the movie and was in high school when this came out. Love the soundtrack also. Irene Cara became even more famous for the title song after she did FAME.If you really love this movie, I recommend getting the original Blu-ray that was released some years ago by Paramount.

The last bluray transfer looked good so looks like it improved a bit.But the last bluray had more extras than this one.Not really worth double dipping.

First, the good. I think the HD transfer of the film looks outstanding. Right off the bat, from the title card, it looks better than ever. Almost worth getting for the iconic scene where she seduces her boss in that grey sweater. Whether or not you love the movie, if you ever had a crush on Jennifer Beals, it's a must own.Now, the bad. I bought it for the packaging as much as for the movie. They got me excited about the new line of Paramount films in the deluxe packaging but, they aren't cheap. Oh, wait, the packaging is very cheap. Check out photo #1. That's an almost invisible crack in the front, that the paper insert conceals pretty well. Picture #2 is the back of the case where a big chunk is completely broken off. It came shink wrapped like that. Wasn't a shipping issue. It's honestly the worst DVD/Blu-ray case out of the hundreds of movies that I own. I don't know if I'm the one unlucky customer out of thousands but the broken case is a big letdown. The movie is fantastic and the slip cover, ahem, covers the shortcoming on this release. I'll give Paramount Presents one more try to get it right.

I love this movie. I had it on dvd, but wanted it on blu ray. I highly recommend this movie.

Don't we all love the dance scenes?

Disc doesn’t work on any DVD player. I tried it several times on various units including a friend’s, tried to clean it, nothing worked. Another example of a Scam likely

Primero lo BUENO:a)El empaque es una maravilla para los que, como yo, coleccionamos películas en varios formatos. El slipcover se abre y deja ver el poster original de cine que también es la portada del disco de vinyl y del soundtrack.b) El audio mejoró mucho. Por primera vez las legendarias canciones se escuchan con fuerza, con bajos muy potentes.Ahora lo MALO:a) El video no mejoró mucho con relación a la versión en que salió en 2013. Muchas personas dicen que mejoró pero la verdad que yo no lo noto. Comparé ambas versiones y no vi mucha mejoría.b) El precio. Este blu ray cuesta casi 500 pesos. Más que muchos blu rays 4K. Un precio prohibitivo si tomamos en cuenta que la versión del 2013 cuesta la mitad o menos.Versión recomendada para fans de hueso colorado.
