I have been running SRF React in all my track-driven cars since 2018 (Subaru BRZ, Porsche 911, Alfa Romeo 4C). I have never experienced brake fade using this fluid in combination with adequate brake pads. It is ludicrously-expensive for brake fluid, but if you need the very best on-track performance, it is money well-spent as it boasts the highest boiling points of any DOT4 fluid I've found. For the extra money, I know I don't have to worry about a brake failure due to inadequate fluid, and that's huge.

Best brake fluid money can buy, decent price if you cant find it local
If you have a sports car and you track it, a brake failure or spongy brake pedal could cost you your ride. Proper maintenance of a brake system goes a LONG way, but good brake fluid can help too. If you don't know about brake fluids, Castrol SRF is about as good as it gets before you get into extremely hard to find and expensive racing brake fluids that don't last very long because they attract a ton of moisture.It has a wet boiling point of 518F, which is about 80-120 degrees higher than any other mainstream brake fluid. But this wont matter unless you are getting your brakes REALLY hot, like a track or HPDE.Always remember Brake fluid is highly corrosive, never let it sit on any painted surface and throw away any rags you wipe up break fluid with.

I do all the maintenance and repair work on our family vehicles that I can do by myself. I take pride in selecting high quality products, especially when it comes to my family members being able to stop quickly and safely.I’ll never forget the advanced driver safety training course I received from 2 former state policemen who said “always buy the best brakes and the best tires you can afford.” And I add, “NEVER skimp on brake fluid!”We live in the Pacific Northwest and have some long, steep mountain passes. Castrol SRF stands out in the following ways:- it blows the competition away in damp environments- for a high performance/racing racing product, it has a very generous service life of 18 monthsOnce I found out about this through an online forum and compared it to the Motul products I had previously used, I bought enough to switch our 3 vehicles over to Castrol SRF and make the fluid change right away. The difference is astounding!

Great stuff if you can afford it!
Look for the wet boiling points for comparisons. This brake fluid is the best I have found. Compared to RBF600, the dry boiling points (when new) were roughly the same, but the wet boiling points (after they absorbed some moisture) are very different. This was called out specifically in my Aston Martin owner's manual.

The best brake fluid
As an HPDE race track instructor I ride in a lot of cars, many suffer brake fade related to boiling fluid. We have a race engineer on site that changes out/bleeds fluid on these cars. Never had a subsequent problem. The specs on this fluid is outstanding. Expensive, yes but when you need to hit the brakes and trust you will slow down the is the stuff that will give you piece of mind

Top performance in challenging environments
This fluid was recommended to me for use in the rear brake of my 2016 Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak Edition to improve rear brake feel and performance. In order to isolate the fluid’s impact I replaced the pads, flushed and bled the system with the OEM fluid (normal DOT4 Castrol) first in order to know they were in known top condition. At that point, rear braking was good but would diminish somewhat during my favorite twisty mountain back road routes that involve a LOT of hard accelerating ad decelerating with minimal recovery time for the brakes between corners. Switching to the SRF Race fluid resulted in top level rear brake feel and performance being maintained throughout the most aggressive braking I could throw at it in road-going situations. Happy to say this bike sees its namesake mountain road often in mid-week off season conditions that can challenge her brakes and the Castrol SRF fluid really comes through. If you’re still dissatisfied with your Multi’s rear brake after new pads, flush, and bleed, this fluid might provide the extra margin you’re looking for.
