Finally the correct tones
My daughter is 14 and loves to draw people, this is a member of BTS, but was struggling to find the correct skin tones but she loves these pencils.

All you need in one tin for hours of fun
I love these pencils I purchased this set and the botanical tin because I wanted a good variety of colours. Although the tins choice of pencils are inspired by Wassily Kandinsky you will be able to recreate many artist works because the colours blend together beautifully to make even more colours. The pencils are comfortable in the hand and sharpen with an ordinary sharpener. Each pencil has its own name and number on the pencils themselves and on the inside of the lid. There's a tutorial inside the tin giving you a history of the artist, showing the full range and most excitingly a 5 stage guide to recreate the tins cover with the contents of the tin. There's another leaflet explaining the universal color system , a full list of all the products available and an invitation to join castle arts. Happy colouring

Lovely pencils, fab service
There's nothing I dislike about these pencils; trying to be sensible, bought the Botanical set to try, thinking that I might order some more. I couldn't find a list of colours in the themed tins, so I contacted the seller by replying to the email they had sent (fabulous customer service). By return I got a list of all the colours in all of the themed sets. But in the end I just ordered the full set of 120.With regard to this set, the colours are excellent. When they arrived I was halfway through a drawing and a bit pushed for greens. This set includes Sap Green and Oxide of Chromium, with which I pretty much completed the drawing. They're lovely to use, lay down strong pigment smoothly, blend well and sharpen to a good point which holds well. They compare favourably to Polychromos, and in fact the set of 120 is in place of the larger Polychromos set I intended saving up for!Unfortunately they're not open stock, so I may have to replace them with Polychromos as they run out. Although given that a themed tin of 24 will cost the same as 5 Polychromos pencils, I may just end up reordering this one!

Deliciously smooth
I decided to revisit an old hobby: drawing, and was looking for supplies that could make the experience more pleasant.Stumbled across this set on my recommendations and the reviews seemed great. I've given it a chance and could not be more pleased. The colours are beautiful, the texture is deliciously soft and the pencils glide on the paper. I may be a little crazy, but they kind of smell good too! lolColouring with these is so relaxing that I can go on for hours without noticing the time. The quality is amazing and I love the attention to detail. The packaging is beautiful, there's a fun tutorial to follow along and each pencil has a reference number and a colour name.I bought the Botticelli Collection and the colour selection is gorgeous.

Lovely pencils to work with, but points break easily.
These pencils are good for layering, and will layer over wax pencils reasonably well. Nice and round, and slightly larger opposed to hex pencils which is great for my large fingers. Bought both the Monet and Seascape sets to get the blues, and greens I needed, however out of 48 pencils from both sets, 22 are duplicate colours.Would be good if Castle Arts could sell sets of one contrast of colour - all the blue range, or all the green range, etc.Overall good pencils, with only 4 broken cores from 24.Update:Now reduced by one star. Core point breaks easily when sharpened to a thin point; not great when working to fine detail.

Good intermediate pencils
I've recently started drawing with colour pencils rather than just using for adult colouring books. I wanted specific colours for portraits and was reluctant to buy a large set until I tried them out. These are probably not as good as brands I have seen recommended by serious artists, like the Prismacolor or Caran Dache Luminance, but hey, they're a fraction of the price and I liked them enough to buy the 120 set. They keep a point for finer details and blend well, especially if you invest in Bristol board smooth paper (I bought Artcoe brand and liked that too).Note that attached photo was done with some colours from the bigger set of same brand and is on normal sketch paper rather than the more expensive type.
