Wildlife - A Dark Thriller

Enjoyed the book. Read several by the author. Well worth turning the pages. The characters are brought to life through incredible depth.

I can do most reading of many things.. But nothing gives me the hebby,jebbies,as much as being chased in the dark… man the toughness of then kids and Russ and Liz is amazing.. I will say I laughed when Harmon and Ida got theirs..

Absolutely loved these two books. Please write more because I'm addicted!

This was a quick read and I enjoyed every minute of it. Going on to book two in the series.

Edge of your seat thrill ride.

After reading WILDLIFE again and enjoying it as much as the first time, I realized I had given the book a 5-star rating but didn’t leave an actual review! So, here it is without spoilers.WILDLIFE is a suspense-thriller that takes an author, his girlfriend, and her parents into the swamp of the Florida Everglades on what started out as a fun, day-trip but turns into a nightmare and fight for survival! The tour guide planned to take the small group to meet Harlon Roy and see his gator farm as he did with many of his tours. Unfortunately, this time Harlon and the rest of the Roy family had taken care of some “family business” the previous night and were not expecting visitors. The tour group unknowingly interrupts Harlon as he is finishing up his business and quickly realizes they have stumbled into a dangerous situation. Without giving away anything, I’ll just say I can’t see myself EVER going on a tour into the swamp!I have read ALL of Jeff’s books so far and I love that each story, as crazy as it is, isn’t so far-fetched that it couldn’t actually happen. He creates some characters that you like and some that you love to hate. There are always plenty of WTF moments with enough humor thrown in to the mix to make the short chapters fly by, putting off real life until it’s over!

I came across this book in a Facebook add of all places. Normally I don't pay attention to the adds but for some reason this one really caught my eye. Anyway I downloaded a free sample, read it and was instantly gripped and knew I had to purchase the whole book. I read it in 2 days (being a busy working mum to a 4yr old this is no mean feat) and I thought it was the most entertaining book I've read in a long long time. Im a massive fan of the psychological crime genre usually but I did grow up reading horror and for some reason stopped. Can't figure out why I did when there's such good books like this one is knocking around!I loved the characters, both good and bad and the gruesomeness and depravity seemed to be really well done. I'll be reading the next book Reckoning pronto!!

How? How on earth did this arrive on some publishers desk and make it into print? A hill billy family turn into mass murderers in the everglades with grotesque violence and the happy ending you spotted 20 pages in. If someone could tell me what a "Meemaw" is I'd be grateful. Go wash the car instead of reading this nonsense.

I couldn't put this down it is scarily factual and disturbing but absolutely thrilling and gripping love the characters and storyline just brilliant x

If you like Edward Lee's novels of redneck psychos then you'll love this book about a family who encounters a deranged family of swamp dwellers. I won't say what happens, but I will say, you should buy it now. I've already bought the follow-up which I'm saving for my holiday read, so I can binge read it.

Purchased after seeing good fb reviews, wish I hadn't its total garbage, no real story line it's just a book you wish you hadn't started reading.
