We have used these many times for our business, and this gap tape always does the job, and with no residue.

as an event organizer this is a must have. this is a awesome multi-pack and typically one roll is more than enough for 5+ of our events. very easy to tear using your fingers (no scissors needed), and pulls off flooring, tile, carpet, fabric etc easily, no sticky residue left behind. Very useful to hold down chords in walk ways, keep carpet runners from shifting, keep table clothes in place, etc.I recently forgot the gaff tape at an event and used regular packing tape. Wait a pain. It stuck TOO much to everything, struggled to get it off, and it left sticky residue. Gaff tape is a true must have.

Nice and wide. Stays down well and when you want to pull it up it pulls up like it should. I use this for audio and power cables for 2 -3 day video shoots and it works great. It is also east to tear off and rip down the middle if you want to use half the width.

Apparently this tape is made of 2 bonded layers - a white layer with adhesive and a black cloth layer above it. I started peeling the tape off the spool and all of a sudden the "black" tape turned white and wouldn't stick. It seems that the adhesive on the white layer stuck so tightly to the black layer below that it peeled the layers apart - with the white layer above sticking to the black layer below - hence - the separation and no sticking of the tape. I have bought hundreds of rolls of gaff tape and never experienced this before. Luckily I had other tape with me to finish the job.
