Breville Ribbed Plate for Breville Smart Grill (BGR820XL)

Awesome grill. I have cooked bacon, veggies, hamburgers, eggs, and pancakes with no problems! It really will sear, grill marks on veggies and meat. I purchased another set of plates, the flat and grill plate! The grease does go in the tray like it is designed to do. I like to keep the bacon greese. I know right! But it is bacon grease! You do need to wipe the grill off after use and I do wash plates by hand. It is no big deal though! I have used it several times and have never had an issue with anything sticking! I had a George Forman before and the non stick surface started coming off after years of use. I did not like what I was hearing about that product, so I tried this grill! I like it! Oops, just noticed I put this review on the plate I purchased! Sorry, don't want to rewrite it so, this is for the Breville Smart Grill, this is one of the plates I purchased for it!😉

These replacement grill plates fit exactly and are surprisingly much easier to clean then the originals. I am very pleased with them.

Bought as a replacement for a 15 year old original. Used everyday, and real easy to keep clean.

The Breville grill is great. I'm grilling chicken, veal, fish, cube steaks, sirloin steaks, and new york strips. The sear temperature (450) is great for searing the meat, then I lower the temperature to 320 to finish the grilling. The grill comes with a ribbed and flat plate. Since we are doing all these meats, we wanted grill marks on both sides, that is why we bought the ribbed grill plate. I would recommend the Breville grill and plate to anyone wanting to grill in doors.

Needed to replace my old flat plates due to many years of use.The nonstick coating was wearing off the old ones.Wasn't sure they still made replacements.What a surprise to find them and to get them delivered in a couple of days.back to using my griddle again.

as stated above. works well but priced to high for what u get. should come with the grill at that price.I would not mind paying more if it were made here and not china. the only people getting rich on this is breville. and there not from the USA either. but all in all it works well i also own the oven from them which also works well. im happy with the products but i rather see made in the USA on them. you here that breville?

I have had my Breville Smart Grill BGR820XL for 8+ years. I bought an extra set of plates with original purchase. I hand wash them, and use about once a week. Afterwards, I rub some vegetable oil on the surfaces to "season" them (which I read about with other non-stick surfaces). The teflon is still holding out very well, but I thought I would get another set of flat and grill plates just for backup...and was surprised to see that the set of two (flat and ribbed) is $10 cheaper with free shipping from Williams Sonoma. These replacement plates ending in RP do fit the BGFR820XL model I have.

I've had my Breville grill for 10 yearsThis is my 3rd set of replacement plates. The finish looks a little differentIt has a slight irredentist finish. The back of the plate is scratched up quite a bit. It makes me think that they could be refinished plates. But, they work well and maybe the new finish is improved. I'll update this review after I've used them a while.
