May be good for bacteria, but it couldn't vanquish the mold inside my mattress
My waterbed mattress got mold inside it (more on that below) and about 6 weeks after I filled it, it really started to smell like mold.I drained it completely, partially filled it, then re-drained it (to "rinse it out thoroughly") then put the whole bottle of this stuff in with about 6 oz of regular waterbed conditioner. After 2 days of being gassed with chlorine smell (the active ingredient is 'something' perchlorate), the mold smell came back, and that was it, I drained and disposed of both the mattress and the liner. Wiped down all the inside of the wood frame with a bleach solution, wiped off the heater with a milder bleach solution, double-washed all my bedding in hot water and borax (1/2 cup borax + some detergent in each load), and put in a completely new liner and watermattress. Put 4 1/2 oz "Aqua Fusion Premium" waterbed conditioner in the new (full motion, no fiber fill) mattress, I will see how that works out.I think the reason my original mattress got mold in it was when I first filled it, I opened the port and left it open for a couple of minutes while pouring the conditioner in. While it was open it "took a deep breath", seemed to really inhale because of the pressure of the fiber filling, and this probably allowed it to take in a whole bunch of mold spores. I recommend that instead, DO NOT open the port until you have thehose with the fill fitting on its end, right there handy. AS SOON AS you pull the little plug out of the port, jam the fill-hose fitting (looks like an oblong cage with a ring that screws onto the port) and jam it right in there immediately. Fill the bed with about 2 inches of water, THEN stop the filling, pull out the fill hose fitting for a minute, pour in the conditioner, then plug the fill hose back in and continue the fill. This is what I did with the new mattress and hopefully that will do the trick.I

Due to a problem with the city water algae was in the water and my dad didnt know till after he filled the water bed. Long story short made my parents room smell awful. Bought him 2 of these shock treatments and he used both of them a week apart and it got rid of the smell.

Did it's job. It shocked the waterbed quickly. It kind of smelled a little for a day or two, but went away after that. I was satisfied with the product.

Waterbed shock treatment
This did a great job of getting rid of the odor in my waterbed after we used the same hose to fill it as we had used to empty it. I have a king sized bed, so I used 2 bottles. Worth every penny!
