Zendoodle Coloring: Creative Sensations: Hypnotic Patterns to Color and Display

After finishing the Mermaids and Fairies, I was excited to get the Gnomes. Denyse has a classic approach to the Gnomes with her own signature style. Loved the pages that included the mermaids and fairies all together. Very excited to see the ink in this one doesn't bleed while blending. Each picture tells it's own story! Some details were hard to understand what was what, but once color was applied it all came together. It is more detailed than the previous books, it does take more time and thought to color which I think is a good challenge for a true artist behind the pencil. Every scene has to be viewed as a garden home with little Gnomes, so there is more to focus on then just a GNOME. I love all of the her work and continue to support her. Her books are more for the adult minded then a child perspective of easy color, so I feel challenged to meet every drawing she puts down with a vision of how she saw it in COLOR!! thank you Denyse... Keep going!!!

The media could not be loaded.  I absolutely adore this coloring book! Charming & whimsical! All pages are one sided. Good paper quality. There was one imitate that looked like the top half got cut off, but it’s an easy fix for us creative artists! This has already become one of my top 5 favorites!

Such a cute cute book. Very similar to the fairies and mermaid coloring books by this author. Little gnome people surrounded by flowers, tree houses. Nice dark lines. Paper is nice and heavy. Single sided sheets. So glad I ordered it. Can’t wait to start coloring.

This is Denyse Klette‘s last coloring book that she will publish, per her statements online. I’m sorry to say I truly believe she just didn’t have her heart in this one (I own her previous two books). In my personal opinion, these illustrations lack the artistic talent she is known for. I’ve been a colorist all my life, have purchased/collected over two hundred cbooks just since Jan, 2015 (I mention this solely to shed light on my love and gratitude of artists and illustrators who have helped bring us into the amazing, world-wide Coloring Community). ~ Specifically, the female gnomes in this book are awful. On most pages, the other items (trees, hats, clothing, etc) appear haphazardly drawn. ~ I will be returning this book 😞; a sad first-time for me.

Numerous gnomes gallivant across these pages with plenty of humor and a little romance. Images are very intricate and may be too small for some persons with vision issues unless you use a magnifier. These detailed illustrations would be excellent with gel pens or very sharp colored pencils. I especially love the page with a gnome examining a tiny sleeping fairy through a magnifying glass. If you have Fairies In Dreamland by the same artist, you'll get the reference right away! Paper is thick enough for watercolors as long as you don't over-saturate. I have all three books and they're in my top ten faves.

I like the size of this book and I like the paper which is thick and smooth but colors easily. I used some alcohol markers, soft pastels, colored pencils and some Wink of Stella. The alcohol bled through a little but not much, it doesn’t really matter because the book has one sided artwork. I really like this artists whimsical style which is very different from some of the other books I have. This is my second book from her, I also have her mermaid book which is really cute too.

I like the heavier paper quality and some pics are cute but I have one really big gripe about these books. I feel they are like an old saying, if you've seen one you've seen them all. Each page drawing is so similar that its like coloring the same picture over and over throughout the book. There is zero variety in the artists work and this renders the book extremely boring to color. I want the mermaid book but after seeing a flip thru its the same issue. Unless the style changes and offers much more variety in the drawings I won't be buying anymore. The gnomes weren't cute and some details were too small and heavily drawn. The artist has so much potential but repetitive drawings are a major turn off.

Love Denyse's books. I have all three and I enjoy the whimsy. This would be a 5 star rating except for one small issue. Some of the images are much too small. The Fairies in Dreamland had too small images but the Mermaid book was great. Denyse went back to some images smaller than I will be able to color. Bottom line though, the book was worth waiting for.

I bought this colouring book due to the many great reviews. Some of the images appeal to me but several of them are too whacky for my liking. I liked the images shown which prompted me to buy. It’s a nice sturdy book but feel it is best for markers as even my lovely softcore coloured pencils struggled to cover the fine lines that run through the paper. If you are using markers or watercolour don’t use a lot of water as the paper is quite delicate and I have ruined a couple of the gorgeous images so far. I’m going to take a look at this artists fairy colouring book to see what it is like. I’ve given 4 stars as it is an appealing book.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased this book for my mum as she loves collecting gonks (gnomes)this book arrived and I loved it sooooo much i went straight bk on amazon and got another for myself! love love love. this book is different from the usual colouring in books i own. this is so good i will be getting the other two in the series as soon as payday comes round!

I ordered this because I loved her fairy book so much. The gnome illustrations are a lot less detailed and more childish than the ones in the fairy book but if your colouring time is limited it may be a good option because the pages don't take as long to colour. The book is fairly good quality but I'm only rating it 3 overall because there's not very many images in this book that I would really want to colour.

This book is sooo so cute! Gnomes taking selfies?! yes please! I have around 50 colouring books and Denyse Klettes fairies in dreamland is my favourite one that I own but she has outdone herself with this book! The images are just adorable! I also love how the previous books were incorporated into this one and we get more fairies and mermaids.The book itself is very thick and the images are on single sided paper so you can use all mediums.I am so sad this is the final book in this series but it ended on a high as this book has bumped fairies in dreamland for my #1 spot! ^-^

This is a beautiful book to colour in,The paper is nice some of the picture are more difficult to do than others as some of the detail is hard to see and define .But yes nice book lovely pictures and a good size
