Wooden Birdhouse Creative Wooden Hanging Bird House for Small Bird DIY Birdcage Making or Decoration

There are no nails or pegs holding it together, only glue that dissolves in water.So, after the first rain, it splits apart.There are several brands selling similar bird houses - I ordered two and got the identical thing, so it's all the same thing being sold under different names. All glued together. All fall apart.

For the size of the house itself and the hole, don't count on anyone "moving in." This is great for a kid's craft project. Ours looks great hanging from a crepe myrtle, but it's not going to work to get a house finch or a chickadee. The hole is too large to offer any protection of the nest. I'm no expert, but was told this by a couple of neighboring Carolina Chickadees, if you must know.

I hand paint unfinished wooden birdhouses with flowers and some even have windows or other styles of painting. I live on a corner lot and used to have flowers all around my house. Lots of foot and auto traffic go by. Because I can no longer keep up with watering all those plants, I turned to setting out bird houses that I paint to add some color and interest to my yard.I've painted many birdhouses. And these birdhouses are the first to come apart at the seams after being hung outdoors for less than two weeks! I have houses that have hung outside for two seasons with no sign of coming apart.I liked the style of this house. But I'll not order it again. Very disappointed.

Originally I was hoping to find a bird house kit for my kids to build. But eventually we gave up on the idea as I could not find one bird house kit that looked good AND of good quality. So we bought this. It took a long time before it arrived. But it's nicely made, it's pretty and sturdy. My kids enjoyed painting it. We used Acrylic paint and then glossy mod podge for the finish. I am going to apply another layer of finish before hanging it on a tree.

Like most affordable craft birdhouses, this one needed a light sanding in some areas to get rid of rough areas, like around the hole. Overall though the wood is quite good and it is very well assembled. I painted mine with acrylic paints and it took them wonderfully. I plan on keeping it as indoor decor, since it's not a functional birdhouse (as in its missing key elements necessary for an actual bird to want to nest in it, like floor drainage, etc), still, its great for decoration and makes for a fun project for people of all ages!

The birdhouse completely fell apart since all parts were glued together and the glue is obviously not waterproof.I am going to glue it back with the better quality glue and apply tape around it, hopefully it will work.Very poor quality, do not buy.

This is a very solid bird house but it is much smaller than I wanted. The photo shows a taller looking bird house not the little short one I received. Its still nice if you are looking for a small bird house.

These birdhouses appear to be for decorative purposes only. I purchased two and hung them in trees near my house. Within days, both were broken and fell onto the ground. I assume that the wind blew them down. Fortunately, they were unoccupied at the time.
