I'd seen this recommended on BookStart, and can only recommend it also.Our daughter is 2.5 and will have a baby sibling in a few months. She loves to read, and if you also "end your day with a story" then this book sets the tone well.Ultimately, yes, Lulu's parents are busy, but she can help them, choose nice books, read to the new baby, share her old books, and her parents always find time for her, too.Despite the raging hormones, I can just about keep it together for this book.Better for older girls, as it says she's the "best big sister of all" which my daughter likes to read.

this is such an amazing book! My daughter absolutely adores it and has been very helpful in making her understand what the arrival of a baby brother means. We read it every night before the baby was born and she still wants to read it now. Would highly recommend it!

We had this book from the library when we were expecting our second baby. My eldest was 2.5 at the time and this was her absolute favourite book about having a new sibling.
