A well made pan - but will it last?
At this point in my life I have purchased more non-stick pans than I can shake a stick at. Within the last couple of years I have purchased granite pans made by Kolex. While they held up well to scratching, the non-stick only lasted about 8 to 10 months with almost daily use. So this time around, and based on some testing by the creator of a You Tube channel called "Project Farm", I have decided to give the Green Pan a try. I have only used this pan a couple of times and it has performed very well so far. It has one of the best non-stick surfaces of any pan I have ever tried. It is a solid well made pan with good weight and nice balance. It also came completely assembled. The handle is securely attached and does not get hot when in use. Time will tell when it comes to durability, but what I have seen so far I like. Buying a Green Pan is somewhat of an experiment for me since I normally do not spend this much for a frying pan. And at this point I cannot really recommend it since I don't know if spending the extra money will be worth it in the long run. Time will tell and I will update my review either when this pan starts to stop being non-stick or has lasted longer than any other pan I have tried....we will see !! WHY THE GREEN PAN Back in the day Teflon was king, but as most people know they eventually start to flake and those flakes can be poisonous. So starting about 10 years ago I made a concerted effort to get pans that were PFOA/PFAS free. However, finding one that is safe but also lasts a long time is not an easy task and contrary to popular belief, and what manufactures will tell you, there are no non-stick pans that last forever...period...end of story. Which is why I normally do not spend this much for a frying pan - they simply do not last. If you want a pan that lasts forever, buy stainless steel or cast iron. The best I have gotten from a non-stick pan has been about a year. Now that is using the pan 4-5 times a week, so take that for what it's worth. The reason I choose this pan is based on the testing of Project Farm mentioned earlier. He designs very unique tests to determine if a product holds up to the manufacturer's claims and how well it does against the competition...great channel and one I highly recommend. While the Green Pan was not the best in every category, it scored the highest in the durability test where a hardness test kit was used to measure the durability of the surface of all the test pans. The Green Pan was the only one to reach level 6...very impressive. Based on my experience, the hardness of the surface makes a huge difference in how long a non-stick pan will last. Some of the pans tested did a little better on some of the non-stick tests, but were very easily scratched. Even though I use mostly wooden or plastic utensils, if a pan's surface is too soft even wood can scratch it. Meaning it will start to flake at some point and even though it might not be toxic, I do not want that in my food. Plus, if the non-stick surface of the pan breaks down, logic dictates food will start to stick. I also took into consideration how I use the pan. While I do use it often for things like making bacon and frying eggs, I also do a lot of stir fry type meals where you would use a wooden spoon to mix and stir the contents, making considerable contact with the non-stick surface. In the last case the hardness of the pan is a key factor versus things like; evenness of heat (difference between hottest and coolest part of pan), and thermal efficiency (how quickly it heats up), which do not really factor in. So my decision to buy the Green Pan, and spend more than I normally do, is based mainly on the durability factor...for me that just makes sense - for you it might not !!

Great Nonstick Pan
The GreenPan Paris Pro has quickly become my go-to frying pan for everyday cooking. The ceramic nonstick surface is fantastic — nothing sticks, cleanup is effortless, and I don’t have to worry about harmful chemicals since it’s PFAS-free. It heats evenly, delivers great browning, and still looks brand new after months of use. I also love that it’s dishwasher safe and feels solid without being too heavy. The hard anodized construction makes it incredibly durable and scratch-resistant, even with frequent use. If you’re looking for a healthy, long-lasting, and high-quality nonstick pan, this one is absolutely worth it. It’s the perfect mix of performance, safety, and style.

I love this pan!
I just trashed a Tramontina 8” that I bought 11 months ago for $25 after reading a Wirecutter review. . Normally, a cheap nonstick frying pan will last me 3-4 years given that I take perfect care: silicon utensils, and always hand-washed. Good riddance! See my review of that pan for details, but the rivets and rim were not just NON-nonstick, they were egg magnets. So hello, Greenpan! I paid $34, did a lot of research, including ATK and other respected sources. Its rivets and rim are nonstick, and, after scrambling eggs, it washes up perfectly with the SOFT side of a sponge. Given that I use my 8” frying pan frequently, I feel okay about the price because it’s free from the pxxx’s. My only “complaint” is that I wish they would eliminate the double-speak in packaging: You’re looking at the packaging around the pan. The white “Quick Tips” sticker in the middle was on the bottom of the pan, and I put it on top of the packaging. Note at middle right in rather large letters, it says “METAL UTENSIL SAFE” with an image of a spatula that one guesses is…metal? The Amazon product description has similar language. But under “Quick Tips” and “Utensils” it says “Silicon utensils are best and will extend the life of your coating.” While researching, I noted numerous examples of the same doublespeak in product descriptions from other manufacturers. But, if I paid $34 based on the expectation that I could use metal spatulas and ??? Whisks??? with aplomb, I would expect to get at least 4-5 years of use. Perhaps’s that’s the case: I don’t know; however, Greenpan’s own packaging contradiction makes me doubtful—and I don’t intend to find out, because I will treat it with loving care! UPDATE after several months of use: This is a dream pan. I cook eggs with the merest amount of fat and they slide right off—and then the pan cleans up with the soft side of a sponge. Another UPDATE after 18 months of use: ditto! NO dishwasher, only gentle soft-sponge hand-washing, and only silicone utensils. I love this pan!

Good pan has lasted several years. A bit expensive.
These are good pans and well-built. Slightly expensive. Mine had lost some of its non-stickiness. I contacted support and followed their advice. They suggested a buildup had occurred and a Magic Eraser sponge or their sponge would remove and improve the non-stick properties and it did just that.

If you’re anything like me—someone who considers burning water a kitchen mishap—you’ll understand why discovering this non-stick pan felt like striking culinary gold! I've tossed everything at it, from eggs aspiring to be omelets to fish fillets hoping for a crisp fate, and not once has this champion of cookware let me down. There's a running joke in my house that this pan is almost too non-stick; food practically levitates above its surface! Seriously, I could have probably upgraded to this superhero skillet years ago and saved countless meals. Its non-stick prowess means that cleaning is a breeze too. You could probably get away with a stern look, but a gentle swipe with a cloth does the trick! The handle is sturdy, reassuringly attached, and hasn’t given up on me yet—a miracle given that I swing it around like a kitchen wand. In conclusion, this pan is my new kitchen hero. It’s survived everything I’ve cooked and even some things I shouldn’t have tried. Five stars because I can’t give it six!

Love these pans and use them daily. The key is to always use butter or oil when using them, never high heat, and allow them to cool before cleaning with soft sponge or cloth. They work perfectly and are so much healthier for you. No forever chemicals leaching into your food. I recommend this product.

This is a nice frypan and works well, though unsure about the long term. I've had a little bit of food catching on the surface after some burning. Also, the attachment screws being inside the pan are more of a nuisance for cleaning than expected. It doesn't take long to clean but you do have to focus on it. I've previously had externally attached handles and might go back to those if this pan dies. Otherwise, the pan handles well and works as intended.
