The SkateSwing Backyard is well suited for hanging from a tree branch, and is the only swing adjustable for uneven hang points and irregular branches. It is recommended to use the Branch Manager to protect the tree branch from the wear of a swing. The SkateSwing Backyard comes packaged immediately ready for assembly to a backyard swingset. Simply hang the quicklink or the loops connected to the quicklink to the factory approved swingset links or connection points. With two points of contact, the SkateSwing Backyard restricts primary movements to front and back and side to side. Front to back is the primary direction for sitting on the swing, and side to side is the primary motion for standing on the swing. It is important to make sure there is adequate room for the side to side motion. Generally, this is about the same horizontal space as the swing is off the ground. The swing can be adjusted quickly for both sitting height, and a standing height closer to the ground for safer operation and ease of getting on and off the swing. The skateswing is built using a real maple skateboard deck and double weave nylon ropes with stretch for a smoother ride. Although the ¼” ropes and quicklinks are rated to 900 pounds, the recommended maximum user weight is recommended at 175 pounds.
