I like it! Intensity training makes sense.
I love mountain biking. Real mountain biking with "baby head rocks" a plenty, steep single tracks and more roots than your family tree. I did my neo-phyte biking in West (by God) Virginia, which is home to some superior trails and races. It even gets mentioned in the DVD. (I know -you don't care about this.)The cast of this DVD (although dated) is impressive, with Olympic medalists and world cup leaders. I like the approach they take to the workout, which is basically that mountain biking requires changes in intensity, depending upon the terrain and competition, but that most of it happens at higher intensity/anerobic thresholds, so you don't get to fully recover before the next time you have to dig deep and mash the pedals for the next challenge. It is similar, yet different, to the CTS Time Trials DVD, which also works on anerobic threshold conditioning.CTS lays claim to some impressive names in the world of biking. If they can make Lance Armstrong a better biker, then they can surely improve my biking conditioning.

What a great collection these all are! They provide for a great workout and training in the off season.Last summer I was stuck in a cast for 8 weeks, I road my trainer to this DVD and was able to get right back toMy normal cycling ability, if not better!!

this is an old DVD (2002)
this is only a 60 minutes spinning class with intervals ... no mtb action ... no techniques ... even the tranning is in road bikes , there's no accentuate a 360 degree pedal stroke to handle the dynamic terrain of mountain biking,
