This is the "one"...
This is the ONE camera you need for when your smartphone is not the option. Get rid of your DSLR as you will not believe the small footprint compared to its enemy (NikonD900) and weighs in at 1.5 pounds with strap, battery, memory card, and neoprene cover. The photos below were taken on auto setting inside with no flash at 65x optical, 130x digital, and 260x digital and their clarity/color speaks for itself. Battery life is fine and aftermarket ones with 30 percent more power will set you back a whopping $8.00! I was willing to pay over $100 more for the Nikon D900 but its aforementioned footprint was just as big as a DSLR where as the sx60 is the size of a larger point and shoot. If I wanted to lug something that big around I would have kept my Canon t5 with lenses! I finally found a portable camera that can zoom even digitally and not shake and grain and you all know what I mean. The only things you will need are a nice Canon Rebel comfortable strap (as the aftermarket cushioned ones will not fit the small eyelets)$12.00, a two pack of 1300 Mah Vivitar batteries ($16.00), a 3 inch sunshade for the flip out screen ($7.00), and a tulip lens shade (68mm PLUS adapter ring!) $6 plus $6 and you are DONE!

Camera can not connect WiFi to Apple Computer.
Beware if you have an Apple iMac computer and you think you can transfer photos from this camera to your computer. I have the SX60HS and have found out from Canon that you can not use the built in WiFi to tranfer images. Apple software is not complatable and you must just use a cable to connect camera to computer. VERY DISAPPOINTING, after 3 conversations with Canon, they dropped that bomb shell on me this morning. I've been told by Canon after Apple's last 2 OS upgrades, they lost the ability to connect by WiFi. Thanks to Canon and/or Apple for screwing up this option. Was going to give 3 starts but the rest of the camera is very good. Extra lens were not a big help. Went on Digital Goja You Tube page and they stated that only one of these lens is very helpful to photography, while one other of the three is good just to protect the camera lens. Would have liked a 67mm lens cover & lens shade better.

Needs Improvement
I got this camera because I had ordered a different brand (Nikon P900) and it had a defect so I sent it back (refund). This one is actually better than the previous one it is lighter the other the features are better. It may not go as far but the photos are really good. I took the moon shot at 600 mm hand holding it. The Stellar's Jay was at about 300 mm and the star shot was on a tripod at 1365 mm. I think the star was Regulus. I would recommend this brand camera. The only issue is the size of filters, you need an adapter because the lens is 65 mm and they don't make filters that size it is either 62 mm or 67 mm.. Update this camera has some major flaws with its electronics. The latest has to do with the viewing screen has gone funky. I was using the camera to take vertical pictures and I swung the screen outward to rotate so I could see the picture I was taking and when it is back in place everything is up side down.

Loving it!
I purchased this for myself because I hated my other camera- Nikon Coolpix. So far I have had excellent results. I wanted a camera that could capture our family moments with 8 yr old twins. This camera has worked beyond my expectations. At a recent swim meet, I was able to capture a picture of my daughter starting across the pool- not only across the pool, but I was one level up in bleachers as well (photo below). I also am able to continuously shoot, so when I'm trying to get a cute picture of the twins together, it shoots several consecutively- which allows me to find the best shot. I haven't had any issues with fuzzy or grainy photos. Second photo below is a closeup of a bush outside my house.I'd like to give kudos to Digital Goji, not only for the great deal I got, but for their quick response/resolution to my inquiry. I'm excited to try out the filters that came with my camera!

Great camera / great service fro Dital Goja
I selected the PowerShot SX60 HS as a replacement for my 12 year old PowerShot G2. This was a very good step up for me. The controls and menu items are basically the same. The only mode that I have not tested today is the Wi-Fi (I have only had the camera 2 hours). The bundle I selected from Digital Goja had the extra battery and the filters with adapter because these were all of the accessories that I needed for this SX60.I placed my order on April 13 and it arrived today, April 18. VERY quick service considering this time frame covered Easter weekend. The packaging was very good and everything in the bundle was shipped with no damage. A tip of my hat to Digital Goja.I would recommend the Canon SX60 HS to anyone who is looking for a good value for their $$$.

Really disappointed
I was really disappointed in this model. I have the previous SX50 model and loved it,. I purchased this model thinking that it would give me closer zoom shots. It barely does, but the real problem is the image stabilization, which is terrible. The image shakes whenever the digital zoom is applied so much that it is difficult to keep the subject in the viewfinder without a tripod. The SX50 does not have that problem. I love the WIFI connection, but for me the zoom is the whole package and this one is dismal. Plus while the zoom has increased, the focal length really hasn't since Canon started with a wider lens so the zoom optics are much better than the SX50. The seller did a great job however, with the package deal and with prompt delivery. I have no complaint with them, However if you are looking for a Canon that seems to have a longer zoom than the SX50, don't bother with this one!

Now that I have been able to understand the camera, I feel this is a good choice if you are stuck between a point and shoot and a DSLR. It does take some time to understand the controls, but they all have their quirks and specifics. If you order this product, just go out and pre-order two 32GB SD cards as the camera does not come with cards. As noted previously, I would have preferred to have a card included rather than one of the other accessories, but I understand their bundling idea.
