Grampa's Garden Bag - 45 Gallon Hardshell Bottom Reusable Garden Waste Bag - Collapsible Garden Leaf & Yard Bag

I've been volunteering garbage cleanup around where I live and over the last few months I've been putting together the best tools to do it, from hand pickers, rakes, gloves, bags, and portable garbage cans to give the bags structure. It's important that the tools I use are lightweight and portable so that I can carry them around. I keep a minimal set of garbage collection tools in the trunk of my car too, so I can do a quick cleanup if I see the need while I'm out doing something else. Yeah I'm crazy like that.The product I'm reviewing "Grampa's Garden Bag" is marketed as a container for leaves but I find that it works well for my use. It is not the lightest of its kind but it is sturdy and durable, and it can hold a good amount of weight. It allows me to use thinner garbage bags without worrying about getting holes in them. I am picking up all kinds of trash, from plastic containers, to silverware, to small home appliances, old clothing etc. The material is sort of a plastic coated nylon, thicker than other compressible cans, and the straps are stitched on well. The hard bottom is great too, although it would be nice to have a few drain holes. I have been able to lug around 50 lbs of stuff with no problem.These work best with ~45 gallon bags.

This was a requested Christmas present, and I FINALLY had the chance to try it out yesterday (March). I love it! I dragged it (along with my pruning shears) all over the yard and it didn't once collapse. It perfectly holds a heavy- duty black trash bag, and I didn't have to clip it to the sides of the garden bag to hold it open. It's lightweight but sturdy, easy to hose off and the two clasps hold it in place once it's collapsed. I questioned the durability of the material since it will be dragged quite often, but if it does wear out on the bottom it will still hold a trash bag. So much easier to handle than the big, green, clunky plastic trash can that's prone to tipping over which I've been dragging around the yard for years. Being able to easily lift it up into my raised beds and drop branches and clippings directly inside the bag made my back and other muscles much happier. I definitely recommend adding this to your gardening arsenal.

I use collapsible yard waste containers all the time, and I chose this particular one because it was well rated and was a good price. So far, it's lived up to its reviews. It's lightweight, yet sturdy. It's a great size--big, but not manageable. I like that it has a hard bottom; it stands up well, and I can drag it across the ground without fear of ripping it.

This is very well made and sturdy. I like the latches on both sides and the way it folds down and can be hung up in the garage for storage. I use lawn bags in it even though it says it was made to use without. We have more yard trash than just leaves though. The lawn bags fit perfectly and are easy to insert and utilize and easy to remove for yard trash pickup. My only complaint is that when standing empty, it tends to sag to the side a bit, but this gets alleviated after items are put into it. It looks like it would be very durable and last for many years if cared for and stored properly. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Once I blow the leaves into a pile, with my garden gloves on I use the hand grabbers to fill up the Garden Bag. I line the Garden Bag with a large trash liner. Together these two tools help me clean up all the leaves that constantly fall from the AZ trees in my backyard. Makes the job faster and easier on my back. The Garden Bag is sturdy, well made and handles large amounts of leaves on a weekly basis.

I like to putter in the garden despite my black thumb. This collapsible bag is just the right size and very useful. I used to use a large plastic yard bag, but it was always a chore to keep the mouth open and they would often tear. With this bag, you can set in on the ground next to you and dump in all your cuttings and then dump them in the can for pickup. One of those things you wish you had discovered years earlier.

A couple of years ago I bought one of these collapsible bags at a home and garden show. I immediately fell in love with how easy it was to haul around with me to garden. When it fell apart after just a couple of years I was looking for a replacement but something that might hold up a bit longer. So far I am very happy with Grandpa’s garden bag. It is very well made, I am happy with this product.

I do the yard work and always told my son I need something to hold the trash bag open. I got so frustrated because could not hold the bag open myself and empty the lawnmower bag. This bag is wonderful and I do not need any help at all. I know you can just dump everything in the bag but I put a trash bag in and use clamps to hold bag in place and just pull the trash bag out when it is full and needs to go in the trash can. Its great.
