fain New Hair Apron/Haircut Cape

Fits my 7 year old just fine and can easily accommodate a neck circumference of many inches thicker for an adult. It really did keep all the hair in fairly well, as cleaning is always the worst part of home haircuts for me. I had some issues with the cord from the hair clippers dragging or bumping the sides of the cape’s bowl. But it was a nuisance rather than a dealbreaker. May be time to invest in cordless clippers.I was able to remove the cape without spilling hair and with relative ease. The biggest challenge was getting my 7 year old to stay still while I remove it, even though he’d been squirming to be done with the ordeal throughout the last half of the haircut. I took it outside to dump the hair clippings in the garden or compost pile—hair is great for birds to use for nests. So I didn’t have to deal with trying to pour the hair neatly into a small garbage bin. Folding it up was pretty easy for me too, but I can see why others would have a hard time. If you have the 2 piece windshield sunshades in your car which are made of the similar gray fabric, you’ll know that to fold both those sunshades or this salon cape, you need to hold opposite sides of the wire in each hand and sort of twist it into a figure 8 and then fold the loops onto itself so you’re left with a neat little circle/disc. Admittedly, it takes some practice, but it takes more muscle memory than logic to master it.If you have any questions or found my review helpful, please let me know.

Update: This is still probably the hokiest thing I've ever purchased and have NO regrets! Over three years later I still use this on my son and hubby twice a month. It has held up great. My only wish is that there was a way to remove the little pieces of cut hair that have gotten stuck in the velcro over the years. If you are on the fence, just buy it!!Original: I feel so stupid for using a broom/vacuum all these years! I was skeptical if it would work, but it work like a dream! I use it for my skinny necked 7 year old boy AND my burly necked husband. No mess, no problem! THANK YOU!!!!

I use to be a stylist. I only cut my daughter's hair and husband's hair at home now. I had seen quite a few of these from different sellers but with negative reviews. This one seemed promising so I decided to try it. It caught 90 to 95 percent of the hair when I cut my husband's hair. We were both very impressed. Clean up was so much easier! When it's put on just make sure to push down the inside to create the bowl shape. He just took it out side after and shook all the hair off. Easy peasy. Definitely recommend!

We just started cutting my husband's hair at home a couple month's ago and made a MESS. We just used this genius contraption and I'm SO pleased. It made clean up 95% easier. Thank you!!! We're telling friends and family about this. Oh and we bought it around $10ish and the price has dropped so a good time to buy! Lastly, I have scent sensitivities and there's no nasty smell or mold. It's fresh and clean! Like everything we're getting in the mail, we sanitized before using. Love it!P.s, not for those who want to cut their OWN hair. The hoop has to stay down or you'll have hair everywhere. gotta have someone else cutting to make this work

Exactly what I was looking for. Catches 95% of the hair. Doesn’t stand up on the sides how it’s showing in picture but still catches almost all of the hair. Velcro is good quality and the size of the Velcro is also good. It could easily fit the neck of my 4 year old and he didn’t complain that the hair is itching him during the hair cut.

Yea! This is a bigger size and fits a body much better than my old one (curves around the shoulders and makes a better "dish"). Plus the neck velcro has the range to tighten up enough for a child. And it shipped super fast! So I really like it!There is one thing I don't like as much though and that is that the surface is not as slick a previous one I had, so hair doesn't slip off of it quite as easy. Hair also slides under some of the BIG stitching. So yes that is a minor negative but it works great AND if I get ambitious enough I might spray a bit of silicon on it to improve the slipperiness.

This works pretty well. It is a little small around the neck, if the person you’re using it on has a big neck, and I had a little trouble getting it off my father without spilling (maybe manually remove the bulk of the hair with your hands?), but it does make cleanup much easier

It's absolutely ridiculous-looking. Got this in an attempt to avoid the mess from at-home haircuts, and it does the job. The size works well even for large adults, and it's super handy [once they get over the shame] and really did catch all the hair. One important note: the "bowl" would be too shallow to cut long hair, but it works well for short. Adjustable neck opening is handy. Only gripe is that it's kind of tricky to fold back up (much to the amusement of neighbors who got to see me wrestle with it for 10 straight minutes), but overall really love this.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  理美容室に行って会話をするのが面倒なので自宅で妻に切ってもらうのと、実家の祖母が外に出たがらないので家で切るのに購入しました。○　ネットや本を見て浴室で何も着ずにやってもらったり大判のビニールを使っていたこともありましたが、どれも体に張り付くか掃除が大変かのどちらかです。　これは安くても専用品なのでカットした毛が張り付いたりせずスルスルと落ちてくれます。そうっと外してゴミ箱に流し入れれば床には全く落ちないので、準備→カット→片付け のトータルの時間と労力を考えるとかなりの短縮になりました。○　首回りをきつく止めると苦しくなるので軽く巻くぐらいがちょうど良かったです。妻が祖母の髪をカットしましたがすごく手を伸ばさないといけないということはなく、適度に曲げながらカットしていました。　祖母はデイサービスなども行きたがらないので自分のベッドに腰掛けながらカットさせてもらいましたが、座り慣れた自分のベッドでできたのが良かったようです。　障がい者の姉にも使いましたが、姉の方は得体の知れないモノを首に巻くのがヤダということで5分が限界でした。ぱっと巻いてぱっと切ってしまえるので、じっとしていない子どもでも使いやすいと思います。○　妻曰く1000円オ－バーだとちゅうちょするけど、700円ちょっとだったのでお試しみたいで買いやすかったとのことです。今は自宅と実家を往復して使っていますが、この値段なのでもう一つ買って自宅用と実家用にしようかと思っています。●　おそらく下から明るく見えるようにするためにシルバーの生地になっていると思うのですが、祖母のような白髪だとカットした髪の毛が見えづらくなります。　高齢の家族の髪を切ることも想定して片側は黒色のリバーシブルだと掃除がしやすいと思うので、今後そういうタイプが出てくれることを期待します。

装着したまま腕を上げることができないので、セルフカットでは向かないでしょう。人にカットしてもらう時に、自分はこれを両手で支えるという使い方になると思います。カットされた髪の毛をキャッチするという機能面では何ら問題ないのですが、切った後の掃除がやりにくいです。大きな髪の毛の塊は問題なくゴミ箱へ落とせるのですが、短い細かい髪の毛が残ります。掃除機では、この生地ごと吸い込んでしまい、そのままでは使えないので、私は一度床の上に逆さにし、叩くように毛を落とし、それを掃除機で吸っていますが、いよいよ、なんの為にこれを使っているのかわからなくなる時があります。

いつも行っていた散髪屋さんが閉業して新しい散髪屋さんを探すのが面倒だったので、安上がりにできないかと自宅用散髪セットを探していたらベストセラーで発見。百均と変わらないと評価もあったのですが、ダイソーに見に行ったらあまりのチャチさでこちらを購入。折り畳めて隙間に収納出来るので便利。開くと約62cmと大きく受け皿もあるので便利でした。髪の毛も新聞紙を広げることも必要なく便利でした。首には必ずタオルを巻くのは必須です。髪の毛が首周りから落ちていきます。

なんかこれ装着してカットして、商品にへばりついた髪を捨てて、また畳む・・・という作業が思った以上に面倒だった。畳み方も面倒だし。これなら風呂場でカットして、終わりにほうきと ちりとりでササっと片づけちゃった方がラクだわ。

使い易くないです。生地がペラペラな為、形を上手く保てず、髪の毛が落ちてしまいます。耐久性は、有りません。マジックテープ部分が生地に比べて強いので、外そうと引っ張ると生地まで持っていかれます。結果、髪の毛が溢れ落ちて悲惨でした。ダメ過ぎて、笑えるレベルです。
