THAT OLD-FASHIONED POLAROID QUALITY IS BACK!
I've shot some of the Polaroid B&W 600 film in my old One Step Express and I have no complaints other than the price. PROS: Excellen sharpness and rendition, probably exceeds the lens' ability to resolve, being as it's a plastic meniscus lens. Built-in batter is nice because it means you'll never have low battery issues. CONS: Expensive. Shopping amazon brings the lowest price available at this time and it rounds to about $2 a shot. I love the square format and the excellent contrast and resolution. Great film, and that flare of light on the right hand picture is from a mirror at upper left reflecting into the lens.

Why Polaroid Film is different now - From Polaroid Support Page
When Polaroid wound down their analog instant photography business in 2008, a number of chemical suppliers that existed solely to provide Polaroid with chemistry for film production went out of business. And over the course of the last decade some of the chemistry used in film production became unavailable for commercial use. The Impossible Project faced the challenge of reinventing analog instant photography with the chemistry available, and over the past nine years has been gradually improving the processing and quality of instant film.So while we still aren’t back at the 5 minute development time (yet!), that you may remember from back in the day, the new Polaroid color film is the best to come out of the Enschede factory since Impossible took it over in 2008 - with improved sharpness and definition, development time down to 15 minutes and the same quirky, magical Polaroid aesthetic that people have always loved.

I would recommend this film!
Actually incredible price, Polaroid film is usually so expensive and even though I have an incredibly old camera I am thrilled to find the film is relatively cheap. It doesn’t absolutely perfectly in the quality of color, print, and smells just like you think it would. It is really fun to use and I actually used so much film the moment I got it I hadn’t realized I had run out until I did. It only takes about a minute or more to fully develop. And the instructions are very clear.

Really nice but nothing special
People rave about using the 600 series film in newer Polaroid instant cameras like the Now and Now+ among others. Honestly, I got it thinking that there’d be some difference in exposure, color, or both. There is but it’s almost totally negligible. If I were to do it again I would make my purchase based on price, not hype because the i-Type and 600 series are basically the same with the i-Type not having a built in battery (because it doesn’t need one because the camera itself is its battery). The image quality is nice and I like it. I ended up mixing up some 600 series color photos with some i-Type photos and I could not tell you which was which and this was only like a day ago. I like the vintage aesthetic of the packaging and how thin it it. I know the new i-Type packaging also goes for that same aesthetic but there’s just something about the i-Type presentation, when compared to the old 600 series film, that makes it obvious they’re trying to make the new stuff look like it’s cool 90s stuff which I object to as a person who grew up as a child in the 90s and remember them fondly.Anyway, the photo quality is great. Maybe the 600 does get a little underexposed and you’ll want to keep that aperture open just a little longer if you can in low light. Clarity is what you’d expect from a 600 series. It’s crisp enough but not crisp. By that I mean you see what’s happening in the photo but it looks like an 80s/90s Polaroid which is a great aesthetic. In the end I think that your decision is going to be based on your technical knowledge of how instant cameras work, the hobby itself, and what’s cheapest. If you’re a casual instant photographer then I’d stick with the film your camera recommends not because it gives better results but because you may end up spending more money for something that you can’t even see the difference in.

Love it!!
Got this film for my camera, which is from 1993 and passed down from parents. I thought it didn’t work anymore, but these films turned out amazing! The photos have such a classic, nostalgic feel, and now they’re some of my absolute favorites. Now I’m bringing this camera to any party I attend. Even though I have a professional camera and the latest iPhone, these Polaroid shots are my favorites!

Great product and exactly what I was hoping for
Great for making memories and snapshots of good times. I have a 60 year old Polaroid from my grandpa and I started using it a few years ago, made a scrapbook for sister using all the Polaroid pics I took from the bachelorette trip and she loved it. Taking a picture completely in the moment is lost these days with our phones so it’s nice to do something old school. Great exposure, and fun to see it come to life within minutes.
