these are not the best firestarters on the market
these are not the best firestarters on the market. They have no bells and whistles. I was not looking for bells and whistles. I was looking for a durable fire piston that could produce reliable results at a very low cost. I found them with campfire piston.com. Are there fancier and more rugged fire pistons out there? yes. Are the extras necessary for reliable results? no. These are the most reliable coal producers I have found for ease and price.

Perfect Holiday family gift
Perfect Holiday family gift..were fans of Survivor and HOW2 make fire came up during our 4th of July BBQ...only two knew HOW2 so decided to look for a Fire PistonThis is WAY NICER than DIY'ing them myself from copper tubing/stuff!! Also about the same price I'd have paid for just the tubing/end cap/rod/etc without the labor to cut, solder and assembleAm now making Char-Cloth and using the small tins been saving for just this type of use
