Superb design and performance for what was intended to be a machine for homework and learning. The fingerprint scanner is fast, the camera pretty good and very well integrated.The USB C charging is fast though it doesn’t offer Video over DP through the USB C interface. Not entirely surprised given the price point and so a number of docking stations won’t allow external monitors. I haven’t tried other USB to HDMI adapters so your mileage may vary.My kids also play Minecraft as well as TF2 and Portal 1/2 and all run well.For something that is clearly aimed at the Macbook design and quality it gets very close indeed.The drive is partitioned to give two drives, the C drive is only 50GB in size and so I recommend installing apps to the D:Drive given the bulk that will be applied with the updates.Other than this, a great laptop.

This computer is the best one I have ever owned, the battery charges very quickly and it is very light weight. I have gone through many computers but this one is truly amazing. It is very quick and corresponding the keyboard is very easy to type with and also lights up. It is very easy to connect with your phone or other devise. Comes in very secure packaging and a booklet for instructions which comes in handy. The only thing I would say is that the camera isn't that clear but that is the only minor issue and if you are using the computer for work or business it doesn't really matter. Great purchase and very happy!

Bought the laptop for my son for school, goes to university next year. Looked at various reviews and bought the laptop on the basis that it performed well compared to other brands with higher price point. Looks well and my son is pleased, screen clarity better than some more expensive offerings I looked at. My son mentioned some concern with battery life BUT he might not be the best at plugging it in to charge. The power lead is shorter than expected and this might explain why he does not charge the battery as often as he should. Battery life on various reviews was positive. My daughter has an Apple laptop and this laptop does not look out of place or cheap by comparison. Nice size and seems well built and sturdy. Overall very pleased with the purchase. A good deal.

This laptop works great, and is really nice to look at. I'm using Linux on it an all the devices are working well. The CPU is fast enough for any common task. I'm using it as secondary device, and travel laptop. For these tasks, the laptop is perfect and the case is sturdy enough to handle being moved around quite a bit.The backlit keyboard is a very nice feature when using the laptop in low light conditions.The camera sinks into the keyboard when not in use, so a shutter lid is not necessary when the camera is not in use. Very neat feature.The only downside is that the fans are a little bit louder than I would have liked. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the laptop.

Good display, pleasant keyboard, good camera, but the way it pops up from the keyboard is a bit weird. Good battery life.Boots up well and processes speedily. Camera position the only real problem, otherwise very pleased with it.

Does exactly what it claims quickly and with ease. I run multiple applications with no affect on speed. Has a nice robust feel despite being very thin. Screen and sound quality are excellent. The fact the camera is hidden when not in use is genius. I use it daily and have nothing negative to say about it. Keyboard also has a lovely action.

I just need a working laptop to carry out day to day activities. I'm not a heavy user and this is not used for gaming etc. For what I need it for it's a brilliant piece of kit. It's fast to boot up and close down and does everything that I need it to do. I would recommend it for my type of usage, but can't advise on anything re heavier usage requirements.

My Mate book arrived by Royal Mail special delivery within the expected time frame. Initial experience has been very positive and it is much more powerful than the old Toshiba it replaced. The styling is similar to a Macbook air. As other reviewers have mentioned the camera is unusually positioned in a flip-up key which may be an issue if you plan extensive video conferencing. The audio appears good. The full HD display may not be as bright as some but I have found it perfectly adequate. It took a while for me to get used to the multi touch pad but I have not felt the need to plug in a mouse. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and consider it good value. Hope it keeps running well.
