I was a Lightwedge user for years: I tried the rechargeable one when I got frustrated by the chintzy battery case on the originals, but the first slid apart after I dropped it on the floor, and the second only lasted a couple months, when the charging port popped right out with the cord when I unplugged one day. I REALLY use my reading lights, for at least an hour each day, so I gave this HUGlight a try, and was pleasantly surprised with how handy it is. It has a number of settings, though even the lowest is usually a little bright for me in complete darkness, but it's nice not to have something in the way of turning pages, as with the lightwedge or clip-on lights. This one may be a bit less unobtrusive for people around you who are trying to sleep, since it's not covered by the pages at all, but there is an infrared setting, which you can use in a pinch for reading, and it's very helpful for walking around the house at night. So far the batteries have been holding up, and it seems pretty sturdy. I have high hopes that I've found my new reading light!

I bought this light to read and do hand sewing. It is working ok but I could use something brighter with a fuller range Of light. One thing I do not like is that it turns itself off and I have the keep turning it back on. The batteries are lasting and I use it almost daily for several hours. If I buy another light, I will look for something else. It is not easily adjustable to focus the light where you want it. I can not feel it on my neck, so it is very light weight.

This is a nice light. Not as good as I thought it would be, was recommended by friends. Wanted it for quilting. It's not quite as effective and difficult at times making it angle to where you need it. However, it is a great item to have around just in case your electricity goes out. You can wear it around your neck, hands free, get around the house easily, etc.

My daughters - 9 & 11 - really like these lights. Particularly useful is the red-light setting to use when reading in the car at night, which is less distracting to the driver. We have had them for only a month, but they are holding up well so far. I also like the fact that they use AAA batteries rather than disc/watch batteries, which can be much more expensive.

Please allow me to preface this with the excellence of the light beam on the good arm.But, there are 2 reasons for my 1 star.1. I gave this 1 star is because one of the arms didn't light up on the silver set. It did a few times, but then it quit. The LEDs turned a soft white on the defective arm The other arm was perfect - that arm gets 5 stars. Have already started the return to Amazon.2. It came with deep creases where the arm meets battery holder/neck piece. It looks almost like it was used before I got it! I've included photos. 1 photo shows regular black. The creases were hard to see, so I lightened the black on the other photo. That's just the one side. The other arm had creases too.If anyone can recommend a clip-on light (or other kind of light) for my Logitech K350 which is a great, large keyboard, I would appreciate it.

These are super convenient - we took them camping and they were great to wear to the bathrooms after dark. You could do your business (brushing teeth, washing hands too) and have hands-free light - no fumbling with a flashlight. It rests comfortably on your neck, doesn't feel like it's about to fall off all the time, and I love the different light levels - each side has three different brightness levels, plus a red night-vision mode. Between the four levels and two lights to choose from, you can get a lot of variety in the brightness. Great for reading and for ambient light in the camper when the kids were asleep.

I boughg these to give me extra light to read in bed at night. Package comes with 2 sets. Within one week one of the lights on the set completely went out. Started using the other set. While both lights continued to work again within just several weeks the light started getting dimmer and dimmer. Within another week you could barely see with them. Threw them out. Poor quality

The Hug lights are useful--doesn't give as much coverage as I would like--but easy to use
