Cute pants nice and extra long but a tad to big

Too small.....excuse me while I hop on the treadmill.
I normally wear a 10-12 in jeans so I looked at the size conversion and decided to order the 12. It feels like I'm trying on a 6. A word of advice...order at least 2 sizes up. These were a gift so I can't return them. Good motivation to lose 20 pounds I suppose!
