The sound isn't very full range. There is no mid-bass so listening to spoken voice is poor, muffled and underpowered by the highs, which produces a noticeable high treble hiss. The battery life for just listening to audio is not close to the manuals claim of 5 hours of playback (which is falsely represented in the description of this item on Amazon, touting it as a headset with long battery life. Realistically, I was able to get 3 hours and 20 minutes of continuous television watching. And finally, the worst aspect of these headphones is the range of operation. Within 3 feet of a streaming source, these are susceptible to cutouts as you turn your head. At 8 feet from a streaming source (and for consistency, I tried both other receivers as well as transmitters), you can expect to have frequent disconnects, dropouts and digital jitter. I suspect the APTX chip is the problem as some older Bluetooth devices I synced (Bluetooth 2.0 & 3.0) didn't have as frequent of complete disconnects (with APTX I saw drops at a frequency of once every 5-6 seconds, more rapidly with movement) and with older, non-APTX devices the frequency was once every 10-12 seconds)

I actually paid for these.
Pairing is easy, and though there isn't any mention of it in the user's manual, this does seem to support multipoint as I am able to pair it to both my Ipad and my phone at the same time. It can be a little finicky, turn off on, turn on the other, re-pair, etc... but in the end it does work. Also not stated in the manual is that it will turn itself off after several minutes if there is no live connection being fed through it, which is a good feature, but I've found that I've had to go back to my phone and re-pair it as it has not done so automatically in such instances. However, if say you walk out of range and come back within range, it will in those instances re-pair. It is, ultimately fairly useful for its intended purposes, which for me is a matter of listening to music at the gym. Once you figure out the fit that works best for you, and maybe give it a little twist to where the ear wings are snug against the cartilage of your ear, it seems to stay on well under moderate workout conditions up to and including a light jog.In terms of sound quality, the first thing to note is that as with all earbud type headphones, the quality of seal you are able to achieve in you ear will determine the how good the sound will be. For my ears, I use the small tips with the medium wings for the best fit. Even then, they are far from sound cancelling and will allow in a fair bit of ambient noise in environments with above average din, like a packed gym or a noisy cafe. Of course, once you start playing your music, that din tends to fall away. I would categorize the overall sound quality as balanced. There's just enough bass though if you're expecting a heavy boom you're not going to find it here, while the highs are clear and without sybilance while the mids are present if just a bit recessed. I use the equalizer on my phone to get the sound characteristics closer to what I like, and your mileage may vary in that regard depending on your own tastes. I've read in some reviews that they don't get loud enough, but I wonder if those people realize that once you turn up the volume on your phone or tablet, you can continue to turn up more volume on the earbuds themselves. For me there is plenty of volume. All in all, it's not one of those products where I am super thrilled with, but rather for its price I am satisfied.Edit: Though it is said that these are CSR8645 chips, I'm not convinced that they have the 6th generation CVC noise cancelling for the microphone. Whenever I use them at the gym, and a call comes in, I get complaints that the background is quite noisy. So I'm docking one star.

Good for the price paid
Update 4/7/16 - After trying a couple of other sets of BT earbuds and some different apps on my phone, I think the cutouts in the music is due to the app itself. I will try them on another trip and update my rating if the problem goes away with a different app. These may very well be a solid 5.In my quest for some travel headphones/earbuds to use on planes I have now purchased 4 different sets. This is my third and so far the best.My requirements:1. Pretty good noise cancelling/isolation (I fly a lot and planes are noisy)2. Comfortable to wear3. Bluetooth because I use a LifeProof case and I hate the little dongle you need to attach headphones (plus everything's better with bluetooth)4. They have to STAY in the earOn #1, these things rate a solid 4. The engine noise was muted for the most part and other cabin noises (save for the baby screaming 6 rows back) were mostly non-existent.On #2, these things rate a high 5, actually a 10 but we can't go that high. One of the most comfortable in ear sets I have ever worn. I barely noticed them being in.On #3, the bluetooth is ok, I would rate it a 3. Easy to pair but seems to cut out even when the phone was in my shirt pocket or held in my hand. Not too big a deal for me as I am not an audiophile but for some it may be a big issue. (And yes, this was with a fully charged set.)On #4, another high 5. The little extension that is attached fits into the curve in the ear to help them stay in. I really never had to push them back in like I do with other earbuds. Definitely a huge win. That averages out to a 4.2.Other pluses include - controls easy to use, conveniently placed right below the ear. Sound quality - overall very good, I do not demand a lot from my sound so maybe it could be better. I just don't expect a concert hall experience from a pair of earbuds. Extra ear pieces and fitting hooks (??) mean it will fit most ears. Price. I paid $30, not a lot for what you get.But there are a couple of other cons - the set just drapes around your neck and the control piece is on the right side. As I was walking through the airport, the cord slid to the right and I was adjusting it to get it back to center. Not a big deal, more of an annoyance. The carry case is a little chincy, but the set was fairly cheap. If I had paid the list price of $70 I would have been more than a little miffed.Battery life seems to be very good. I used them for several hours straight and still appeared to have plenty of battery left.So overall, a good solid four. These are my go to ones for now, until I try out the other set I bought. I am also looking into the LG Infinim HBS-900 set, and may buy those also.If these are $30, I would say buy them. I don't think you will be disappointed.
