Just as Advertised
Worked as advertised. Came with the small cables which were handy. Worked for my case, easy to connect and a good value for the money.

Hooked up and worked fine right out of the package.
Worked as expected. Using it to connect Nextion screen to raspberry pi that runs 10 to 16 hours a day.

Plug and Play All Day
This worked flawlessly for what I needed it for. It auto-detected the comm parameters and Baud rate and immediately established communication through screen and minicom in Mac terminal. I changed the http port on my Swann Surveillance DVR which astoundingly bricks the unit sending it into a boot loop because the port attributes are stored in the flash memory as well as the kernel. I hooked this up, interrupted the auto-boot, entered the console, and called for the DVR to send me the password file which, by design for security purposes, then resets everything to default. Saved me from having to spend $250 plus on a new surveillance DVR, after Swann tech support told me it was simply a faulty unit.

Handy gadget if you need to flash firmware.
Bought this to flash the Sonoff S31 wall wart. This unit works with windows 11 but need to install the correct driver. There are two on the site. The board is bare so need to be careful of static discharge.

Very good usb/ttl
This has worked reliably with two or three different microcontrollers and has been a part of my experimental circuits I can expect to perform. I have used it to power small projects and it has survived some erroneous set ups

Don’t crash out
Kept plugging the device into the USB port and it would illuminate showing it powered on, but it would never connect to a COM port having me believe it was some sort of driver issue… In reality the clear shrink wrap around the usb dongle was preventing the USB to plug in ALL the way.Once I forced the USB in a little more the device immediately popped up perfectly.

Works great for flashing ESP8266/ESP32 hardware
HiLetgo CP2102 USB 2.0 to TTL Module Serial Converter. This replaced a different TTL adapter that I'd been using that suddenly died. This one worked out of the box and has been running fine for the past few months, letting me flash a dozen+ ESP32 and ESP8266 based devices over that time.

Comes without any information
Item received with no instructions. Checked seller's site for more information. Item wasn't listed as a product of HiLetGo. Wrote twice ( May 1, 2025 and May 2, 2025) asking for minimal information. No response as of May 4, 2025. Albeit, most devices are similar, but there can be small differences as in how to enter AT mode, pinout, and pairing.
