A real stunner of a collection. More genre writers should be taking risks like this, and more genre readers should be lining up to bask in them. Not perfect, but so much more daring than the norm that all is forgiven.

I love this. It is wonderful. It kind of manages to play into all of my weird gender feelings. Right now it’s my favorite book of 2020.

I'm impressed by Jarboe's command of a variety of writing styles. Some of the stories read like myths while others like sections of YA novels, and others like poems. This is a great work and I look forward to reading more from this author.
