New house and new layed sod. Was cutting the St Augustine grass in Florida once a week but it started looking yellow in areas. After reading many reviews on best fertilizer for St Augustine grass, I settled on the Scott's Turf Builder Southern lawn food. Applied with my new small Scott's spreader set at 4.5. Not a huge yard so only used a half a bag of the 5000 sq ft bag. Applied when the grass was dry, which was difficult in Florida with it raining everyday. I also raised my new Skill EV mower to one notch from max height. Read 3 to 4 inches is best length for St Augustine grass. See the photo, the grass looks amazing now.

Used this several times now on our centipede lawn in Florida. Does not hurn and grass is green year round. Will continue to use and recommend.

I have planted the seeds almost a month ago - and after about two weeks started to see the results. Now the grass is green and about 2-3inches. Fluffy and soft. Recommend the product.

Product is very lumpy and has to bebroken apart to allow proper distribution through spreader. May be from moisture from stored outside? Once crumbled it should be fine but be sure to wear rubberized or chemical gloves.

I’ve tried several other lesser priced brands, to no avail. However, within a week of trying this product, the results are palpable!! It made me feel really proud when two different neighbors asked me what I’d used. (North, central FL)

I have used this for 2 years. It helps my lawn stay green and eliminates a lot of weeds.

This does nothing for grass. I followed the instructions and the only thing it did was make weeds sprout up. 😐
