These are traditional wooden lacquered chopsticks made in Obama, Japan. Obama is a small city in Fukui prefecture, which is famous for lacquerware manufacture, called Wakasa-nuri. With 400 years of tradition, the chopsticks are the most famous crafts of Wakasa and about 80% of Japanese lacquered chopsticks are made in Obama/Wakasa. The comfort touch in the hand as well as their beautiful embellishment marks the appeal of Wakasa chopsticks. These chopsticks are moisture resistant and good for daily use.

Great chopsticks.
I bought them for my hair. Terrible as hair ornaments...too long. Great as chopsticks!

Chopsticks
The colors were not nearly as vibrant as they are here in the picture. Otherwise they are good.
