Great Highland Bagpipe Starter Package (African Blackwood)

Don't be fooled into buying these bagpipes. The seller is clearly trying to deceive the buyer into thinking these are real McCallum bagpipes made in Scotland. These are made in Pakistan and are cheap novelty bagpipes that are very poorly made and do not compare in any way to a real set made by McCallum of Scotland. The seller here is using a very similar name and product codes as McCallum to fool the new piper who doesn't know the difference. This is wrong and unethical. Don't be fooled by these scammers.

Don't be fooled into thinking these are the well known Scottish Macallum bagpipes (who do make excellent pipes).These guys are using a celtic looking logo and similar name to fool you.There is no Scottish bagpipe maker called Macallam.

It's too loud

Although these may look like a set of bagpipes made my McCallum, they are just simple ripoffs made in Pakistan. You shouldn't be shopping for musical instruments on Amazon anyway.

These are NOT pipes made by MacCallum, notice the misspelling - "MaCcallam"... this is an intentional scam to trick people not in the know into buying garbage. These pipes come from Pakistan and are as about as quality as a toy in a happy meal... they are cheaply made crap that will a. not sound right to begin with (or ever) b. will break or crack easily and c. are not worth half the asking price. DO NOT BE FOOLED into buying this trash, a good "entry level" set of pipes should be around the $800 USD mark unless you get a killer deal from someone selling used pipes, but you should be able to get the makers name and google it to make sure you're getting something solid. Google "MaCcallam bagpipes" and you'll find nothing but redirects to the maker they're trying to fool you into thinking they are.

1) "MaCcallam" is not the same as "McCallum".2) No piper.. NO piper starts on the pipes, they start on a practice chanter, with an instructor.3) If you can get real "McCallum" pipes for $500, especially with a blackwood chanter.. they're stolen4) The real McCallum makers.. don't make or sell Uillean pipes & supplies.Bascially, Someone is trying to scam and make money off a well known makers name.

These are neither black wood nor name brand. dont buy because there is no way these are worth the cost. And they would sound really bad if you did. the price is tempting but dont be fooled. its a lie

There is only one reason for these so-called pipes to be sold on Amazon and that is to take money from unsuspecting buyers who may think the name is a misprint. There is no way a set of pipes made by McCallum would be sold on Amazon and that would be that they would be stolen or fakes. Buyer beware use only proper Bagpipe dealers and don't waste your money on junk. A set of pipes will last a lifetime with good care and being made by a real and true maker of quality bagpipes. Do not buy these junk pipes.
