Runs hot. 1st unit bad. 43000 power on hours
These drives are old, very well used, run hot and include bad drives.I ordered one. The first one was bad. Made clicking sounds. Constant read errors. To be fair to the drive, it was shipped in an envelope with almost no padding. It had been handled so rough that one of the main metal pieces, thick metal, was bent. I think it had very rough transport.Received a replacement. It works. It's pretty fast, about 150MB/sec. But it runs very hot. I tried it in a plastic external drive case and the internal temperature reached 65 degrees C. So hot that a hot mat was needed to touch it. It disconnected a few times and caused data issues.I've since ordered an aluminum external enclosure that provides better cooling. Its now running 48-50 degrees and hasn't disconnected yet, but its only been a few days.I am able to access SMART data including temperature. The most interesting stat is that this drive has almost 43000 power on hours. This means this drive was running non stop for 5 years. These are very old very well used drives. Only time will tell how long it will last in its new use.

Excellent longevity; power-on hours cleared for "convenience"
I bought four of these drives for an NAS before they went permanently out of stock. All of them still work after 14 months with zero bad sectors reported and 4,800 power-on hours.I don't understand why people want the power-on hours cleared. It is like the odometer on a car. Refurbishing doesn't magically un-wear the drive - as such, the power-on hours is the only accurate indicator of wear, and resetting it causes the condition of the drive to be misrepresented to the buyer. The truth is these drives have been heavily used. If you are not comfortable with that, return it.Anyway, from my experience, these are pulled from datacenters and have an average of 40k hours.Always test the drives for bad blocks before deployment, and always use RAID with these drives.

Decent Drive for low price
This is the second hard drive. (Had to buy 2 as the first one had an issue)The Company was great to work with for returning the first drive that had a "SMART" alert. The second drive I received from them only had a time alert (running a lot) but no other alerts. So far the hard drive is working. As this is for a NAS that is web backed up I care more about the fact that I have large TB of data local and with a device more so than I have to "trust" the device.

Began failing 2 months in
Luckily it looks like I'll be able to get most data off this thing before I send it back, but I don't know how this is considered renewed. On checking the SMART reports, I can see this drive has had almost 43,000 hours of power on time. I wouldn't recommend buying from here or really even buying a renewed drive... at least for important stuff

Junk - These drives failed within 30 days
Within 30 days these drives cascaded and failed on my DS420+. Returned and replaced with like size HD from another manufacturer. Will not buy this brand again.

Loud
Drive works fine, but is loud. I believe this is due to being an "enterprise" drive. Would not recommend if you are going to be in the same room, otherwise its fine.

Space for Games!
Plenty of room for all sorts of media and gaming needs. Runs great, fast speeds and response time. 160 MBps drive to drive with multiple 1gb files.
