Streamlight45605 HID Litebox Flashlight with DC Charger, Orange - 3350 Lumens

This light absolutely still has a place and use over LED/LEP lights.This thing feels like it’s built like a tank, the fact that it can run off of my car makes it great for setting up camp in the dark combined with the flood lens and good battery life makes me feel good about always having it available when I need it.The light itself blows my LED and LEP lights out of the water overall and probably has the most useful beam of any light I own. It has a perfect combination of throw while maintaining a large hot spot (without the flood lens) while also being able to maintain its maximum output for as long as the battery has a charge.This is an amazing light for the pricepoint and I would recommend it in a heartbeat, while some may see this as expensive this light is a fraction of the cost of other high end HID lights while still retaining complete functionality.I sincerely hope Streamlight continues to produce and support these awesome lights!

Bright is not even the word! It is like the sun!

I would have rated it 5 Stars but the power cord shorted out and stopped working. They shouldship cord with a plastic prong protector. Also the on/off switch sticks out too far and can be bumped on or offby accident. .

I didn't realize it was so much bigger and heavier than the standard lightbox. It comes with a shoulder strap which is handy considering the weight. I always wanted a really bright light just in case one is needed and this one is plenty bright. My only complaint would be the LED's that are some of the worst I have ever used. They are similar to the ones used on keychains. With a battery this large, the designers could have used 65 lumen LED's and still had really long runtimes. They will provide enough light to get around in the dark which is better than not having them at all. Just don't plan on much visibility on LED's alone.

Light is bright,shoots far and has a good spread.

This is one POWERFUL flashlight. If you need real bright light, this is the rig for you.

This is an excellent emergency flashlight, but appears to be best suited for rescue, firefighters, and the like, because the beam is focused very narrowly. If you want something around the house to use in power outages, looking under the porch and so forth, you might be better served by a different unit. Non LED, if that matters to you.Absolutely bomb proof quality piece, just not for everyone.
