Huy Fong Foods, Inc. - Sriracha Hot Chili Sauce - 28 oz

The Huy-Fong brand is the original siracha with the rooster on the label. Don't be fooled by other brands who copy the label. This siracha has the best taste and is the one I prefer. In this size, from this seller, it's a good value.

I could drink this stuff, and sometimes I do. This is the best price around for the best sriracha. It is fresh tasting, deeply flavorful, and hot.

I won't pay 20 bucks or more for a bottle of Siracha, so I tend to stock up when the supply frees up. Last purchase was at 13$ per 28oz bottle, which isn't horrible, even if it's more than we were paying a few years ago. I tried other varieties, including Underwood Ranches (the original supplier of peppers to Huy Fong), but nobody can quite duplicate the original. It's not a pure heat thing, as the sauce is fairly mild (by modern hot sauce standards). It's the balance of sweet, heat, and garlic. And it has to be exact, or it won't taste the same. I sincerely hope Huy Fong sorts out their pepper supply. I miss their Sambal, but I can make a reasonable substitute in my own kitchen for that with ripe jalapenos from my garden.

Right amount of heat.

I've been consuming this stuff since 2007 or 2008 and should have bought stock. lolWhile I don't find it "mind bogglingly hot", I do find it adding the perfect amount of warmth and a burst of flavor one has to experience to understand.I use it on...well...as many things as possible. XDEggs, Hash browns, Hot dogs, Pizza, Burgers, Sandwiches, Soups, Salads, Burritos, Pasta, Steaks, Asian cuisine, SushiIt also blends wonderfully with real mayonnaise and things like ranch dressing, as well as other condiments.
