Daily Zen Doodles: 365 Tangle Creations for Inspiration, Relaxation and Joy

Upon receiving Daily Zen Doodles, I wasn't sure how to start. I've always been a little bit of a failure at meditation, and overall just being "zen." I've had the book for about a week now, and each morning before work, while I am having coffee, I've taken to reading one page out loud to my boyfriend. The quotes are very well chosen, and serve to slow me down before I rush into my day. I have yet to start doodling on my own, but I am looking forward to the process of making my way through this beautiful book, and making it my own.

I am torn because I quite like the book, the concept, the quotes, etc., but the paper is such that I can only use pencils because EVERYTHING else bleeds through. Were the book reprinted on a different paper, I would repurchase it in a second, but as is the paper makes it difficult for me to use it as I would like.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this book in hopes to start doodling daily. The prompts are a challenge to work with if you have a specific style of doodling. The quotes are a source of inspiration.My complaint is that the pages are thin so using anything other than pencils bleed through.I rather use markers and pens so I only work on every other page. I've also used a piece of cardstock to prevent my markers bleeding further.Overall I'm happy with the book and would recommend despite the issues I have had.

If one is looking to supplement one's sitting meditation this is an excellent way to bring the mind to focus on the present moments. It is also an excellent way to build one's creativity.

This book is a waste of time and money. There is little content they were virtually no Zen tangle Patterns each page has either a line on it supposedly a string or a pattern of an item like a starfish . I only paid a penny plus shipping the only place to keep this book is in the trashcan.

It is a great little book...smaller than anticipated, but thick. pages are thin so only colored pencil or pencil chalk will work.

I ordered this for my adult brother but ended up giving it to my tween niece. Not adult-quality for doodling, drawing, or coloring. Fairly disappointed.

From what I have seen on-line, the author is a talented artist, but this book misses the mark. I found that the description of the book was misleading. "Tangle Creations" is obviously a reference to Zentangle or zendoodling, and there is nothing related to that in the book. There are quotes, but mostly the pages have only a shape with a quote at the bottom. It seemed amateurish to me. That is neither inspiring nor an invitation to drawing. After one day I contacted Amazon and requested that I be allowed to return the book.
