JW Professional Shears R Series - Barber & Hair Cutting Scissors

These replaced my former drug-store hair scissors and it's really a huge difference. These feel very solid, but they are so comfortable and easy to hold, not heavy. They are seriously sharp, watch your fingers (I learned the hard way). Love them.

These things will easily cut skin. I have accidentally cut my ears a few times. The cut hair nicely. Very easy clean cuts. Since COVID-19 I've been cutting my own hair. Trim the sides and back with a Wahl trimmer and then use these scissors and comb to trim the hair on top and blend in the sides. I'm not the best, but it's really not that hard to do. I watched a couple videos and then cut my son's hair. Turned out pretty good. I figured why not try my own? Trickiest part is blending the sides with the top, but it's not that bad. These scissors are great and make the job a lot easier.

They seem to be doing a good job. I don’t think they should be your main shears. They are more of a backup.

I'm definitely no professional hairdresser -- have officially cut the hair of someone other than my Barbies' 3 times now on account of the pandemic -- but these are super sharp, effective, lightweight, & small to give you that precision, and give me the confidence to at least get some of the hair off of the head of the person I've been social distancing with. So I'd say they're worth the little bit extra

Really good scissors

I bought these scissors to cut my wife’s hair during quarantine. I learned to cut hair from a hairdresser a while back, but hadn’t done so recently. I found the cutting precise and straight, the action smooth and controlled. My old pair, which I lost in a move, we’re more expensive steel, but for occasional use these prove quite sufficient. One word of caution, the thumb hole is a bit small for my large hand (I’m 6’3”) and I wouldn’t recommend them for prolonged sessions if your hands are large. Men might find this an issue. They were comfortable enough for a half-hour’s work, but not for hours at a time. They did do a good job, however, aside from that caveat.

The scissors are super sharp so be careful! But that's kinda the point (no pun intended.) The comb is super cheap and a total throw away. The case is plastic but easy to clean, mesh pocket inside to keep the scissors separate. The smock is decent quality with good stitching and easy to attach at neck. Elastic neck so works for various sizes and ages. Overall good product so far

I have been cutting my husbands hair since Covid hit in March. These scissors were worth the money. Sharp, clean cut. I gave a 4 for comfort because the thumb grip is sometimes irritating., but not enough to remove the 5 star rating for value and ability to give a good haircut. Only issue with the bag they came in is that the zipper broke when I first opened it. Stuck and I can’t get it undone. Still use it to store the scissors.

The cape that received was poor print as show in the picture. Feel disappointed on such a professional brand products.
