Hydrokorrel Leca Clay Premium Orchid/Hydroponic Grow Media - 2 lbs.

This is just okay leca clay. I did read reviews before ordering so I pretty much thought I knew what I was going to receive. A two pound bag of leca clay in varying sizes. However, what I received was a 2 pound bag of leca clay in varying sizes but mostly tiny chipped pieces of leca clay. It rinsed out well but I had to sit and sift through the 2 pounds of leca clay after it dried to separate the decent sizes from the tiny ones. I was able to fill seven 3" net pots but I had to throw out the rest of useless tiny pieces of leca clay. Which btw was approx. a third of the bag. I'm okay with my purchase due to the price. I'm going to start my first DWC hydroponic system for herbs and I didn't want to break the bank on leca clay. Spending a lot of money already. For those that have hydroponic systems you know about the cost! For me it's worth it though. So, if you don't mind going through what I went through and don't have a need for a whole lot of leca clay then buy it. If you want a bag of leca clay that contains all nice round, decent sizes then I would have to say not to buy it.

Perfect for hydroponics.

really good stuff. I use it with my orchids. Have had good success. Just be sure to use it in the beginning when your plants are in the growing mode to prevent root death. Roots need to adjust to it. Also needs to be washed real good before use.

Excellent for my orchids. I am using it for planting phalaenopsis in clay pots. This should reduce repotting requirement, since hydrokorrel ,unlike other mediums, will not decay.

Nice, clean LECA product! Used it with my orchids in semi hydroponics. The only negative is that this product is cheaper through eBay through the orchidnuts seller on that site. You also get more....through eBay.
