Excellent, simple, works, inexpensive, long cable!
I needed good old school wired flash control to manual strobe from my flash controller. Mixing old tech and new tech. Thankfully a basic cable like this still works great for triggering manual strobes. I'm back up and running for cheap.Using with a Flashpoint (Godox) R2 TTL transmitter and an older Flashpoint 120w strobe that only has optical and manual synch cable. But the optical doesn't work well in modifiers. So needed a cable.

Good value overall - does the job. Not sure how long it will hold up though
I ordered this for a bit of regressive strobe triggering. Almost all wireless triggers have too much latency, so leaf shutter cameras cannot use the full range of shutter speeds without the nefarious 'black bar' of death getting in the image. With a direct cord from camera hotshoe to flash, I can now use the full range (max 1/4000) of shutter speeds without resorting to HSS or an ND filter to remain below the classic sync speed. The cable does the job. It's inexpensive, came quickly and I ordered it with a hotshoe adapter that has both PC and 3.5mm outputs. The cable has 3.5mm on one end and a threaded (locable) PC connector on the other. Perfect for me!My only gripe is that the ends are thin wire encased in the typical weak rubber sheath that tends to split or fray the cable over time if not better encapsulated/reinforced. I would also like to have had 90-degree angled connectors to alleviate the obvious stresses on the ports.Well see how long it lasts, but for my money this item is a 'go!'

Perfect for old flash meters
Allows me to connect my older flash meter to my Godox wireless flash transmitter. Simplifies taking manual readings in a studio setting. The cable is nice and long to allow freedom of movement and I love the screw in pc sync connection. It freely rotates and holds the connection securely. It just plain works.

Works great!
Tried to find one of these cords in my state and was told a 1 foot cord would be $35!! Great price for this cord and works with my Alien Bees lights. Have had the plug to the hot shoe fall out once.

If you have threaded PC connection it great.
The threads get in the way of some of my older gear. I mainly bought this to use with an old Mamiya medium format camera. It works with it, but sometimes the threaded section causes the connection to loosen up since there are no threads to lock it in. I guess I would have the same problem with a cable that didn’t have the threads.

Great investment
Great for off camera sync when wireless trigger is not available. Works great on my Nikon cameras

Requires screw lock
The Sekonic light meter to which I connect the barrel connector doesn't have a female screw thread for the screw lock. So, the connector slips out very easily, which is very inconvenient. So, this cable sits somewhere under a pile of other stuff in a bag somewhere. If you have a device with the requisite lock thread, then you'll probably be happy.

16 Feet of working cable helps clear "dangling cord mess" issues.
As described. Works! Fits the hot shoe like a champ. Lifesaver for our Annnd...Action! Photo Booth - we needed a longer cord so we could hide it better, removing a dangling cord mess that made our photo booth look less sleek. 16 feet did the trick. Perfect.
