I Ate Sunshine for Breakfast is a colorful, engaging science book for kids. The book has many interesting topics on plants and is a great plant resource for children's eduction. It's my 6 and 8 year olds favorite book because of the colorful illustrations, well developed and easy to read topics, and the DIY projects. We found the projects easy to do and really fun with only materials found around the house. The topic we keep coming back to is plant evolution as we talk about the difference and similarities between plants. All told, this is the best kids science book in our library now. Highly recommended.

Really great book for kids on plants with lots of information and nice graphics.

We used this book as a part of our homeschool curriculum when we were studying plants. We will definitely reference it again over the years as we learn more. Even our youngest child (4) likes looking through the beautiful pictures and asking what each page says. This is 100% worth the money.
