I like it but it is more than a little shallow
I like the book and have recommended it - BUTIt is a little shallow. ML has never worked as a scientist She has, however, made some wonderful connections to Louise's affirmations. It gets redundant: she refers virtually everyone to (her) 'Chinese herbalist and accupuncturist. There are other notable areas in alternative discourses: some of the best are Orthomolecular and Environmental physicians- never mentioned. There is little if any awareness of all the dangers of prescription mood drugs: she simply seems to include them readily, rather than understanding the science behind or the lack thereof, in many of these molecules. She seems to want to be a gal for all seasons. It is one thing ML to discerningly include traditional reductionist protocols in your holistic ones unlike, say, Wayne Dyer- who approaches mind- body healing as truly that. But the disappointment for me ( amongst some great parts) is the repetitive and predictable writing.

''Takes a village to heal someone.''
A wonderful way of looking at illness, and with this book Dr. Mona Lisa is taking her work on medical intuition to a different level where she focuses on specific and quite common conditions people face in every day life and often not find a way to heal it or at least not in the long run.Dr. Mona Lisa shares her particular way of 'interpreting' illness as intuitive messages from the physical body and suggests a myriad of solutions that varies from traditional medicine to complementary medicine to create long term healing -often in combination. I think she's one of the very few practitioners who truly understands and practices the holistic approach rather than only focusing on mind or spirit like many other spiritual authors and teachers prefer. I'd also highly recommend her weekly online radio show on ''Hay House Radio'' where she focuses on healing a different physical conditions using mind-body-spirit medicine and understand the emotions that might be triggering that particular condition.

Thank you for the reminders!
Been a lifelong Louise Hay fan and am grateful for all of her work as well as the important additions by Mona Lisa Schultz. Peace, love, healing and wellness to us all!

Misleading and deceptive
I have been a Louise Hay fan since the 80's. I think she's a great woman who walks her talk. Her message issolid and her books no-nonsense. So why would she let Mona Lisa Schultz use her material in such a sloppy, poorlyedited and boring rehash? Schultz, whose books leave me pretty cold and unimpressed, just rides on Louise's work, redirecting the affirmations to her very self-serving case studies which, in any case, are just stock stories. She throwsin the concept of "emotional centers" which are nothing more than the usual discussions of chakras (much betterwritten about by Carolyn Myss) and mixes it with her very superficial explanations of intuition. Most of the book skateson the usage of Hay's affirmations and at the end reproduces all of her "little blue book" regarding causes of illness.I felt ripped off. There is no improving on Louise's original work. Schultz seems desperately trying to ride on hercoattails but adds nothing to the mix. This is not a book by Louise. It is written by Mona Lisa Schultz and just repeatswhat she has already written about in her other two books which to me were soporific. Had I known she was the mainauthor I would have never bought the book. Louise Hay's name and reputation have stood the test of time and shedoes not need inferior writers using her name to sell books.

Cover was not the same as noted on Amazon
I was a little disappointed when I open up the mailing package and noted the cover of the book was completed different than what was shown on the photo here on Amazon; I had hope the book was a little more update and modern. I cannot update the contents of the book until I read it, although me daughter tells me Louise Hay is a wonderful writer, I am sure I will not be disappointed in the message.

Revolutionary reading
Having read and enjoyed some of Louise Hays' work a few years ago, I was looking to refresh y memory on some of her theories. Her proposal that thinking is linked to physical ailments always struck a note in me but I often wondered how it was that she successfully connected specific emotional issues to specific body ailments. Although it made sense to me, I couldn't help wondering HOW she came to these connections. This book answered these questions for me. Her co-author goes into some of the scientific research that backs up Hays' claims and which might appeal to those who are new to Hays' theories. If you, or someone close to you, is suffering from illness, then this book is a must read. It will give you an a helpful insight ainto your illness. Well-written and well-structured. Highly recommended.

All is well
A most practical book that cuts through to the essential with suggestions that are amazingly simple yet extraordinarily effective. It's a book that everyone can read and relate to. Yes, we can all do this, and the authors are living proof. This little book doesn't' age. It remains topical.
