useful utility knife with limited lifespan
I needed a utility knife for Covid house projects and for my part-time job. This utility knife lasted 20 months - hence the limited lifespan. During the 20 months of use - heavy use somedays - cutting carpet into carpet squares, light use other days - downsizing cardboard boxes for recycling, etc. the utility knife held up well. The knife body is not metal. Some type of metallic alloy - very light weight. The blade slide mechanism IS PLASTIC. This component is the weak link. The slide in my knife broke rendering the blade useless.Upside - inexpensiveUpside - usefulDownside - the plastic blade slide mechanism. Its lifespan dictates the life of the utility knife.

Incredibly deceptive. Not real box cutter. Plastic "toy."
This is a plastic toy. This is not even metal. Which it states to be in description. Incredibly deceptive. It is thin flexible plastic with a real razor in it!

Not what I expected
Poorly constructed out of very light weight material. Feels like it won’t last long.

Did what was expected.
It is a little lite-weight and not the highest quality, but I wasn’t looking for that at the price. This knife is a good value and worked well and met my expectations for the price.

practical for opening packages
Had one of these in art class, practical for cutting picture mats. The blade is retractable when not in use!
