911 for parents who don't know where else to turn
Let me start off by saying I am an avid user of essential oils . . . for everything. I mean, I'm a full-on member of the Cult of Aromatherapy. For those of you who have yet to be indoctrinated, aromatherapy doesn't just mean "something that smells nice and makes you feel good for that reason," no matter what the dictionary definition would have you believe. Dig a little further into holistic health terminology and you get explanations like this: " . . . art and science of utilizing naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize and promote the health of body, mind and spirit." (source:[...].) The efficacy of using essential oils for skin- or other ailments, mental and emotional issues, etc. has some convincing double-blind, scientific, peer-reviewed backing. That's one of the reasons why I was interested in trying this blend for my third-grader, a spirited girl who would often spin out into an angry or tearful mindset at the end of a long school day. This tendency was affecting our home life, setting a tense tone in the house and testing the entire family. We were trying to love her through it, but we (her siblings as well as her dad and me) were challenged most days of the week to the absolute limits of our patience. It only made sense to explore this option, as essential oils are already employed so regularly in our home: for skincare, household clean-up, wound care, tooth pain, and in lieu of artificial home fragrances. I did some research, and Plant Therapy has a great reputation for the integrity of their oils. Through gas chromatography testing, it's shown time and again that what they *put* in their bottles is actually what it says on the label. I felt good about purchasing from them. There aren't many downsides to this, but I'll break it up into pros and cons for those who find my review excessively wordy! PROS: smells great (lavender dominates, with notes of orange and apple--the scent of chamomile,) natural and non-medication route towards approaching minor- to moderate behavioral struggles with your child, inexpensive for the amount of uses, highly versatile in regards to how to utilize (mix into unscented balm or lotion, add to bath, shake on hairbrush, apply "neat" to skin, add drops to aromatherapy ionizer, etc.,) low chance of allergic or other negative reaction to these innocuous ingredients--this leads to high degree of compliance. CONS: drips out rather quickly, which leads to my second "complaint," which is that it isn't easily employed by the child herself. If I gave my child the power to use this when she feels her negative moods starting to overtake her, she'd plow through the bottle in a matter of days. SO, while less-than-ideal perhaps, it must involve adult supervision. My daughter was happy to see that I'd gone out of my way to get her a product to help her manage her emotions. She put her wee wrists out for me to dab it on, and then rubbed her wrists on her neck. I applied a few drops to my hands, rubbed them together, and lightly pressed them to her cheeks and through her hair. Whether it was the placebo effect (I don't think so) who could say . . . but that time and on several occasions since, it has calmed her and reduced her antagonizing outbursts by, oh, eighty-five percent? That's it. It shipped quickly and was securely wrapped in bubbles. The lid had those tabs so one could tell if it had been opened. Plant Therapy does, however, tend to over-box. I wish they wouldn't, but I'll take the responsibility of recycling the cardboard in exchange for access to their lovely range of therapeutic essential and carrier oils.

Smells Amazing
The Plant Therapy Nighty Night essential oil smells amazing! It’s gentle, calming, and perfect for kids. I can’t wait to purchase more from this brand!

Quality company!
I discovered this company about two months ago. I love their products! I’m a very big fan of their blends as well. This one in particular does the trick for my toddler. I diffuse it at bedtime and he falls asleep in half the time. He also stays asleep or wakes up but falls back asleep almost immediately (without the oil- he has a hard time winding down and staying asleep through the night). It also makes me want to sleep!

The best EO for sleep improvement out of
This is by far my number one essential oil(s) when it comes to noticable yet subtle sleep improvements. Not medical. I love lavender Bulgaria for sleep as well. But j still keep coming back to this one. My son is very high energy, with this diffused at bedtime, he settles down . No magic or cure. I keep an objective approach to essential oils, with no expectations. It helps me to be able to notice when an EO does indeed have some effect/improvement . I diffuse this at night and my child sleeps WAY better. He usually tosses and turns every which way in his sleep all night. I know for a fact that when I diffuse this particular synergy, he DOES NOT constantly move and toss and turn. (He sleeps with me ) Keep in mind everyone may react differently to different things, including aromatherapy. This nighty night smells slightly woodsy with a small small hint of orange & one can certainly smell the blue tansy also. I don't have much knowledge of how to describe aromas, to me it's a nice balance of woodsy & fruity . Not citrusy fruity, aside from the hint orange, it's more of an apple like fruitiness like German chamomile. I've been buying nighty night for a bout 3 & a half years. Will continue to do so... Also, I enjoy many oils that are from other reputable companies along with PT. Undiluted unadulterated true volatile oils. It's super important to try not to be too focused/expecting a guarantee .

I LOVE Plant Therapy!
I’ve been using Plant Therapy oils for years. I got this one to use on my grandson. Not sure if it calms him down any, but it smells great and he likes having it rubbed onto his feet at night.

Didn't work for me or the imps- but I haven't lost hope yet on PT-just this blend
Ever brew a pot of chamomile tea and leave the flowers in the pot covered a couple/few days? It reminds me of that, not pleasant. But, smell is a subjective thing, though that is partially why I purchased this oil (rave reviews about the scent) - and to calm my impish niece and nephew. Unfortunately, they took a whiff and had the same reaction. I tried adding a couple drops more lavender to mask what I didn't like in a separate bottle, but it just heightened my nose's rejection of this aroma. I would have tried to separately add the mandarin and tangerine as an experiment, but I am waiting for the money to buy the Plant Therapy citrus box to stay within the same EO brand. Reason for 2 star review is I am just starting to switch my oil purchases over from Eden's Garden (et.al.) to Plant Therapy because I love the fact that they have so many positive customer feedback reviews (Eden's does not), their business model is sound, and they seem to be a company with integrity. I have so far ordered the Ho Wood, Bergamot, and Marjoram all of which I am satisfied with; and I have a list of bottles that are getting low. So, I am not going to let this ruin me against the company, I just won’t be purchasing PT chamomile or any of the kids’ line of synergy blends. UPDATE: I changed my rating to 1 star because of the effects it had on myself, and my 3 and 5 year old niece and nephew - just highly unpleasant aroma when diffused, gave us feelings of nausea. I have now tried it every safe way and I am going to toss the bottle- it cannot be redeemed or improved in any way I can think of.

Smells lovely in the diffuser/humidifier . Not used on skin so not sure how good it is for sleep.

Seems to be great quality essential oil. I used to purchase from the more expensive brands, but after doing research and comparing, plant therapy appears to be of equal quality but at a fraction of the price. Thank you plant therapy for providing quality oils at an affordable price. As my oil supply is depleted, I will be replacing with plant therapy.

I am still unsure if this actually does anything for "soothing" but it didn't stink and it was inexpensive.

Love the product but the shipping sucked, it took forever to arrive and I also had to pay customs which was not stated in the description. Over all I’m happy with the product.
