KENKO - Matcha Whisk (Chasen) + Whisk Stand - GREEN - Ceramic Holder for Bamboo Matcha Chasen - Best Japanese Matcha Tea Set Accessories!

First of I think this is a good value kit, you get a bowl, whisk, strainer, spoon and matcha. I think it was $10 more than just buying the matcha container on it’s own. All the accessories are awesome and beautiful. The matcha is a different story... it’s not bad but it’s also not that great. It’s a little on the bitter side (not much) but the flavor is a bit weak. The color is also a little pale. For a beginner this is not bad and a great way to get started. As for the matcha once you finish it get some real Japanese matcha, it doesn’t need to be expensive but just do some research and find something that comes straight from Japan. Not that tea from China or other places is not good but for matcha maybe stick with Japan.

To be honest I only bought this set for the matcha accessories, I particularly like the color of the bowl and chasen holder since they match the theme of my kitchen. Even if the bowl is poorly made (it has little holes and smudges), I decided to keep it because I want to avoid the hassle of returns and besides, the imperfections of the bowl won't really affect my matcha tea.I received the product on Dec 17, and now the bamboo whisk is starting to unravel, I don't even use it every day.The only saving grace for this set is the matcha powder. But still I would recommend the Encha brand anytime.

The center of the whisk is too long so the bristles barely reach the liquid you're trying to oxidize. I kept getting little bamboo chunks in my drink from the little curled ends and I wasn't being rough with the whisk. Just didn't seem like good craftsmanship on the whisk -- but the matcha was high quality, and tasted great. The rest of the items work perfectly and everything is easy to clean.

I was kinda afraid of other reviews saying that their stuff would come broken and what not but mine turned out perfectly fine! I've used this set for nearly a year now and absolutely love it! The wrapping was very meticulous with bubble wrap and encased within many layers of protective film. The matcha itself was indeed ceremonial. Very fresh, fragrant smell and crisp taste. The only problem I can find is that clumps tend to form but other than that, I'm absolutely in love with my matcha set.

Works great! I was shopping for my first matcha whisk when I came across this. I almost didn't buy it because I didn't think I would need it. I'm so glad I did!! It's kept my whisk in great shape and allows it to dry completely. A double bonus is that it makes my whisk look like an art piece on my coffee bar also! Highly recommend!!!

I was so nervous based on other reviews but nope I love it. All ceramics were bubble wrapped, nothing was broken or made with a defecf. The matcha alone is a great, very well known brand and that alone is expensive. I love this little set and I’m glad I made the purchase. The matcha tastes delicious

Love this matcha set. Comes with everything you need to get started. Be aware that the Chasen needs to be maintained/replaced every so often. Kenko matcha is acceptable, though I would look into other brands once you go through the included pot of matcha.

I was so excited to get this matcha tea set, however there is a sizable defective spot on the bottom of the matcha bowl, which really affects the whisk performance. Luckily it was not a gift to others, or else I would have been very embarrassed.

The colour exactly matched the photo, most important as it is part of a colour balanced display.It is always a pleasure to deal with Japan but I discover from their most interesting accompanying letter that these people are tea experts, sourcing and sampling rare and unusual teas from all over the country. There is a photograph of their tea taster and selector, Mr Taro Ishihara. It is this personal touch, having someone to relate to that has made this purchase so enjoyable. I will certainly be buying my MATCHA tea from them and look forward to sampling all the rare and unusual teas on offer. Yet another great buying experience from Amazon
