These pre-cuts are cut from Premium B Grade Domestic Steers tanned in St. Louis Missouri, right here in the USA.Because this leather is B Grade you can expect very minimal imperfections. Hermann Oak believes in the tried and true words if it’s not broken don’t fix it, tanning leather the traditional way. At their facility in St. Louis you’ll find rocking tanning pits where the tanning liquor has been adjusted but never drained. Because the leather is rocked while it is tanning and not tumbled in drums the result is a tight dense grain, this is what makes Hermann Oak vegetable tan leather perfect for tooling.
