Works great and gave new life to an older monitor without HDMI inputs.

Works perfectly to convert to HDMI. Used for HDMI to HDMI cable as well as HDMI to lightning. I do wish the thumbscrews were slightly longer.

So cheap and works perfectly, plus now I have an extra one. No need for cables so you don't have to worry about them breaking, which also saves a lot of space as compared to the cabled varieties. It does exactly what it says, the picture quality is perfect so far.

This is a fairly straight forward product. If you need to convert a DVI digital video output port on a computer to a HDMI port on a digital TV like I did, this will do the trick without surprises. There are two in the package that are identical. Be aware they are one-way only. You cannot use them to convert from HDMI out going to DVI cable incoming because the adapters only have "male" connectors. The reason I knocked off a star is because the screws that firmly attach the adapter to the computer port are short and knurled, but do not have a screwdriver slot in their ends. Putting the least bit of tension on the screws to "snug them up" wasn't practical for my chubby, aging fingers. A little slot on each screw would have been helpful and saved me time. It was a good buy all in all.

Everything fit together well, and the picture quality is great. I have one older monitor that only has VGA and DVI inputs, and an ancient MAC, and a newer work Windows laptop. Working from home suddenly with the shutdown meant I had to cobble together a shared monitor system somehow from these pieces. Otherwise, I would have to keep switching cables and my one dual port adapter from one to the other each time I switched computers. In looking for a solution, I only saw expensive video splitter cables that had adapters that would have worked with both of my computers. So getting this set of two DVI/HDMI adapters seemed a good option for the price. With it I am able to directly connect the Windows computer DVI to HDMI using one of the two adapters, leaving me a spare to take on the road. This is great as I won't have unplug the adapter and personal cable I'm using at home, since I can take the spare and my work supplied HDMI cable to use with the work computer and TV and monitor set-ups that I encounter at various sites I go to for work. Additionally, I can keep my personal computer (the MAC) hooked up to the monitor, though I'm using my old VGA cable through the VGA port on my dual-port adapter. It's not pretty, but it all works and I don't have to plug and unplug everything, now I just switch (two clicks) through the monitor's input menu to change.

I have a monitor I needed HDMI connection and my Video Card has DVI. In reviews I've read that the screws are short and was curious what they meant? The screws attach easily. What they mean by short screws is that the upper part we spin to screw in is a smaller top to use. That said they screwed in easily. It's not like we install and uninstall and repeat. Once installed the stay in place. The screws are not a problem in any way, I have a firm attachment. The video is clear and perfect. I do recommend these. A great value. I had HDMI cables, so just the adapter is all I needed. So many to compare with. Buy this one and you'll get what I did. An easy to install, quality made product and you won't return it. You will recommend it to buy.

I bought myself two new Dell monitors to use with my Lenovo laptop docking station. I didn’t realize until I was setting things up that the monitors only had vga and hdmi inputs and my docking station only had vga and dvi. I tried to do one in the bag on the docking station and one in the hdmi port on the laptop itself, but it would only show one or the other and not both at the same time (I think it was not meant to have dual screens with one plugged into laptop and one into dock). Sooo I panic and start researching, and with relief I find this item where I get two adapters for a super great price, and can route my existing hdmi cable while I’m waiting for the adapter and then when it gets here next day (yay one day shipping!!!) plug the adapter into the dock and the hdmi to adapter. It immediately started working and color looks great!! Only complaint is the tiny metal screws are really hard to twist, would prefer a more user friendly option for that. But it works, and resolved my issue for a few dollars and minimal effort, so I’m thrilled.

This products works precisely as intended, delivering a seamless transition from a DVI display to an hdmi cable. I bought this set so that I could connect my hdmi-only laptop to my monitor which has a DVI port. When I received and installed the converter piece, I was very impressed with the ease and quality of the whole process. The pieces are solid and of good construction. They feel like they should last a good while. The product arrived on time, and in brand new condition, neatly packaged and sealed. The time it took from box-opening to final installation was just a few minutes. And because the DVI converter comes with the anchoring screws, you will be able to leave the piece on your display device without worrying it will come off inadvertently. I'm impressed with this product and how I was able to use it with almost no technical experience whatsoever.

Adattatori di ottima fattura, belli massicci, dal costo davvero accessibile. Indispensabili per collegare in digitale i vecchi PC DVI su nuovi televisori HDMI, sfruttando un generico cavo HDMI. Un pò voluminosi, sui perni di fissaggio sono assenti i tagli per usare un cacciavite, quindi è un pò difficoltoso assicurarli con le mani. In ogni caso svolgono benissimo il loro lavoro trasferendo tranquillamente il segnale video. Vorrei sottolineare che da standard una sorgente DVI NON trasmette segnale audio e che NORMALMENTE un segnale DVI è sempre compatibile con un ingresso HDMI. Detto questo, possono verificarsi eccezioni: ad esempio alcune schede video (come le ATI 3000 o le NVIDIA GTX 200, se non erro) possono far passare l'audio anche sul connettore DVI, ma hanno bisogno di un adattatore proprietario, in quanto non standard! Quindi è del tutto normale non sentire nulla usando gli adattatori Rankie, in quanto su DVI standard viene trasmesso solo il segnale video. Usando invece questi connettori al contrario (ingressi DVI sulla TV e HDMI sulla sorgente), possono verificarsi problemi quando si riproducono contenuti protetti (HDCP) che magari non sono supportati appieno da vecchie TV. In definitiva quindi, questi adattatori sono ottimi e poco costosi; se incappate in uno dei casi che ho descritto sopra, potrebbero semplicemente non essere adatti alle vostre esigenze.

Tengo una tarjeta gráfica con una salida HDMI y una DVI-I dual link (analógica+digital). La salida HDMI la uso para sacar video a un proyector y la DVI-I la utilizaba en modo analógico con un conversor DVI-I -> VGA hasta hace poco. La compra de un nuevo monitor con entrada HDMI me ha hecho cambiar el adaptador y comprar este otro DVI-D a HDMI. Todo perfecto. Ahora disfruto de salida de vídeo digital en mi nuevo monitor. El adaptador tiene una buena terminación, agarre sólido y para colmo vienen dos unidades en el pack. ¡¡ Poco más se puede pedir !! Ojo que no es un conversor. Es decir, no te va a convertir un DVI-A (solo analógico) en HDMI. Necesitas que el DVI que tengas sea DVI-I (dual link) o al menos DVI-D (dual link)

You get exactly what you bought in this one! AN adaptor that adapts like a champ - came in a sealed box and once opened, it was ready to do its job. Not sure what else you could say about this product other than it worked!
