Product isn't shine at all but still looks ok

I was searching for a long time for a cute purple set for my bathroom. SO GLAD I found these! They are exactly what I was looking for. However, I did improvise a bit.. I thought the toilet brush holder was too cute to use as such, so now it’s a candle holder (or maybe to hold some flowers, we’ll see). It really is just a vase shape so all you have to do it just not put the toilet brush it in! Definitely would recommend!

It is pretty, but a little more dull than I had expected. The toilet brush doesn't fit properly in the holder. The bristles were too tall, so the flimsy metal disc, that is supposed to sit flush on the top of the holder, doesn't reach the top of the holder. It just flops to the side and looks sloppy. I am not a fan of reusable toilet brushes anyway, and was thinking of putting a candle in the base instead and setting it on a shelf. A small votive or tea light might be cute? The top of the soap pump feels like cheap plastic and I fear it won't last long, but time will tell. It is cute overall, but not the quality for the price.
