You can achieve a soft and silky look with this product, but you must flat iron your hair. Otherwise your hair will look no different than it looked before. If you think you can just wash your hair and let it air dry, you will be disappointed. It does not work that way. I used the Salerm Keratin Shot Kit as directed. Note: Steps 4-7 took me 1.5 hours to complete. During Step 4, I mixed a vial of the Salerm Stabilizing Phials (the Formaldehyde product) with the Salerm Keratin Shot Straightening Cream. I did this because of the reviewers who said that if you wanted to do this right, you needed to add the Stabilizing Phial. I mixed the two items as directed in a sprayer and (wearing gloves) sprayed it on my hair in small sections, making sure each section was coated with product. When drying the hair, the product has a very bad smell and adds a very bad odor to the house. If you do not use a fan to blow the fumes away from your face, the odor will sting your eyes and burn your nose. The last step is to spray a small amount of Salerm Keratin Shot Serum on hair. The Shot Serum spray also has an unpleasant smell. RESULTS: My hair felt heavy and looked like there was a lot of product in it. My first shampoo was one week later. I used a sulfate-free shampoo. After my hair dried, my hair looked and felt frizzy, and dry. I needed to flat iron it. After using the flat iron, my hair felt and looked soft and silky. One benefit is that the kit and vials provides enough product for more than one treatment or application. I have mixed feelings because before I used this product, I was able to make my hair soft and silky by using additional conditioners and a flat iron. With the kit, I see that I still need to use a flat iron. However, it is nice that I no longer need to use additional conditioners.

I had the keratin done by a professional and i was amazed with the results. I have veeery curly and frizzy hair that would otherwise look simply horrible unless i blow dry it well. The gym an the rain or even snow for me were a nightmare before the keratin. The results lasted for about 5 months and even after 6 months i did not have to be as hard as before to straighten it. To make story short, the second time i wanted to get it done i bought a kit that only brought the keratin, te shampoo and a little spray. You need the whole kit with the keratin fixer to make it work. If you apply the keratin only it WILL NOT work unless you mix the keratin with te fixer and then blow dry it and iron as guided. When my professional saw my kit she told me it was incomplete but i asked her to apply the keratin anyways and as expected, it only had minor edfect. A month later i bought my own keratin again but she mixed it with the fixer which is by the way what contains formaldehyde to fix to the keratin to the hair. About potential cancer effects of formaldehyde, the concentration in the fixer is very small and this is only applied to the hair twice a year....i think for this results i can live w that! I go to the pool, to the gym, i dont have to blow dry my hair the first three months after apllication....it is simply a miracle, again for the wildest, frizziest curly hispanic hair i have. For the first time ever i can experience the joy of freeze free hair without blow drier ever since i was 14-15yo. This is a great product when applies correctly admixed with the fixer :)

Second time applying product because first didn't work at all. Hope second time works, I don't want to find out a just wasted my money .

This product leaves the hair really sorft, my hair tends to tangle up while its wet, and it was really easy to handle. I think it was designed for girls with less curls, as the DVD shows a girl with so beautiful and handable curls, nothing compare to mine :P. I do think its a very good product for hair care.

Awesome treatment! my hair is shiny and smooth. The price is cheap when you buy the complete kit instead of paying for one application in a beauty salon.

This treatment is not the original!!! Don't buy this product.I used this product but the original, and works perfectly but this one don't works, so it's because this is fake!! Also I'm a cosmetology and I know how can I use this kind of products.
